Part of our preventive care practice, our comprehensive exams cover your pet’s major body systems. Regular exams help to monitor your pet’s physical condition as part of your pet’s overall well-being.
Gastrointestinal illness diagnosis and treatment
If your four-legged-friend has an upset stomach or vomiting issue, we can help determine appropriate remedies or diagnose an underlying condition.

Orthopedic evaluation and treatment
Our teams perform full body assessments of your pet’s musculoskeletal and neurological systems, as well as radiographs and other specific diagnostic tests, to determine any structural issues in the bones, joints, ligaments, or tendons.

Optimum Wellness Plans (OWP) are year-long packages of preventive care services for your dog or cat. Each one is designed for pets at different stages of life, based on age and health. All plans cover routine preventive veterinary care and offer discounts on most other Banfield products and services that aren’t included in our preventive care packages.

How do Optimum Wellness Plans® help save me money?
Our preventive care packages create a bundle of preventive care services, meaning you can save at least 30% with Optimum Wellness Plans.* The total yearly cost of an OWP is less than the cost of buying each included service individually from Banfield. OWP members also get discounts on most other Banfield products and services.
* Minimum average savings of 30%. Savings are based on our individual service prices compared to discounted service prices in Optimum Wellness Plans. Savings are based on using all services included in a plan.
My pet has passed away and I have an active OWP. What do I do?
We are so sorry that you lost a pet. Our hearts go out to you during this difficult time. Call us at 1-888-649-2716 to discuss your pet’s plan. If you’ve already used some of the services, you would be responsible for the retail value of them upon cancelation. That may or may not exceed the payments you’ve made, and there could be an outstanding balance. Call us at 1-888-649-2716 to help you navigate your plan.
Who can use the online pharmacy?
Banfield’s online pharmacy is available if your animal has been seen by a Banfield veterinarian and has a prescription from them.
Can new customers use Banfield’s online pharmacy?
New customers can use the online pharmacy after their pet has been examined and given a prescription by a Banfield veterinarian. A MyBanfield account is required to make purchases.
Do I need a prescription to order from the online pharmacy?
The Banfield Shop is an online pharmacy that only dispenses prescription medications. Medications require a prescription from a Banfield veterinarian. A MyBanfield account is required to make purchases.
Can I use the online pharmacy if I am not a regular client?
You must be a Banfield client with a valid prescription from a Banfield veterinarian to use the online pharmacy. A MyBanfield account can make non-prescription purchases through the Banfield Shop.
