    Dr. Kelly Schmidtbauer

    Chief of Staff

    After graduating from Western University of Health Sciences in 2009, Dr. Schmidtbauer joined a private mixed animal practice where she enjoyed working with all kinds of different species. In 2012, she moved to Portland and has had the pleasure of working for Banfield ever since. She has a great time working with a fantastic and caring team while performing quality medicine. Dr. Schmidtbauer sees all types of pets, from cats and dogs to small pocket pets and reptiles. She also has a special passion for soft tissue surgery. More Details >>

    Dr. Lisa Onstott


    Dr. Onstott grew up in Las Vegas and has family scattered throughout California. She attended Washington State University for her two bachelor degrees and received her DVM at Oregon State University. She has been with Banfield since August 2015 and loves it! Dr. Onstott enjoys rooting for the San Francisco 49ers (sorry Seahawk fans!) and cheering on the WSU Cougars and OSU Beavers during college football season. She has a black cat named Dexter, and absolutely loves the Hazel Dell team and is excited to continue learning and growing with them. More Details >>

    Dr. Amanda Slocum


    Dr. Slocum graduated from Washington State University in 2016. She grew up in Vancouver, WA and enjoys all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Her passions in veterinary medicine include feline specific care, integrative medicine, geriatrics and hospice. She is working towards her certification in small animal acupuncture and hopes to incorporate this practice for patients needing chronic pain management. Dr. Slocum has two two cats, Pepper and Scotch, who have taught her a good deal about chronic disease management. In her free time, she enjoys road cycling, kayaking, and traveling. More Details >>
