    Dr. Erin West

    Associate Veterinarian

Dr. West originally hails from St. Louis, MO and moved to Washington after graduation from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After over 8 years of practice in Lynden, WA, Dr. West was excited to join the Carkeek Park Veterinary team in November 2016. Her special interests include surgery/pain management, behavior, client education, and life-long preventive care. Dr. West loves all animals (except spiders) and enjoys working with mostly dogs and cats these days. However, she has worked with all things feathered, scaled, or furred, including birds of prey, rabbits and pocket pets, reptiles, chickens, and even an (anesthetized) tiger! Outside of work, she is an avid reader and world traveler. She also enjoys crafting, baking, and exploring our beautiful part of the world. Dr. West's home is run by her exuberant doberman puppy (Freya), 2 sassy cats (Hedwig and Jaspurr), a spoiled rotten rabbit (Fluffernut Buttercheeks), and an unimpressed leopard gecko (Ava).
