Dr. Fijalka has a cocker spaniel/Italian greyhound mix, a springer spaniel, 2 cats, and a horse, and in her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and doing activities with her pets.

Dr. Ortrun Morlan
Veterinarian
Dr. Morlan grew up in a small village in rural Germany. After graduating from Kansas State University with her DVM degree in 2001, she moved to Federal Way. Dr. Morlan enjoys working with dogs and cats at all life stages, having a soft spot for geriatric pets. She lives with 4 dogs and a senior cat, and her favorite part of the day is cuddling with her two young pugs.

Shift Lead
Anna started working for Banfield in 2011 as a Veterinary Assistant. She transferred from the Tukwila location as a Shift Lead for the opening of this location. She loves all pets but her favorite breeds are cocker spaniels and Labrador retrievers, and she has a soft spot for geriatric pets. In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time with her family, working on different crafting/sewing/knitting projects, getting out in nature and taking different trips throughout Washington and Oregon.

Shianne Campbell
Veterinary Assistant
Shianne has always had a passion for animals. Luckily, she grew up around a ton of them. She has been working with animals for 4 years now at shelters and different veterinary hospitals around the PNW. She will soon be attending the Veterinary Technician Program at PIMA Medical Institute and couldn't be more excited. Pikachu, is her Pekingese and only pet. In her free time, Shianne loves to adventure with friends, paint/craft, go camping, attend music festivals/concerts, and create delicious vegetarian meals.

Veterinary Assistant
Theresa graduated from Pima Medical Institute in Renton in July 2015, and has been with Banfield since August 2015. She started her career at the Bellevue location and transferred to Des Moines once it opened in 2016. Theresa shares her home with 2 boxers named Tia and Mr. Banks. In her spare time, she loves to go Jeeping in the mountains with her husband and Mr. Banks.

John grew up in the Kent/Des Moines area and graduated from Highline College with an associates degree in Biology. He has always had a great love and care for animals. He has been with Banfield since January of 2016. He started his career at the Federal Way location and transferred to Des Moines in September of 2019. John shares his home with two cats, Bootz and Griffin. He also enjoys spending time with his furry nieces and nephews, two pitbulls, two huskies, and a boxer mix. He additionally raises fancy pigeons which he has had since he was a small child.

Veterinary Assistant
Alex has been a member of Banfield for 5 years as a Veterinary Assistant. She started in 2015 at a location in Southern California, then became a member of the Des Moines team in 2017. She is now the Des Moines locations Shift Lead, hoping to continue her growth in the industry. She has always had a passion for helping animals and believes it’s more than taking care of an owners pet but helping care for their family members, we care for them how we would want our own cared for. Alex has a variety of breeds in her life, Scrappy the Chihuahua/Terrier mix, Gemma the Pitbull/Lab mix, Bella the Poodle mix, Lilly the Miniature Schnauzer and a cat named BooBoo a Russian Blue mix.

Megan graduated from the University of Washington in 2013 with a degree in English. She joined the Des Moines Banfield team in January 2016 and does an excellent job of making pets and clients feel welcome the moment they walk through the door. Although she is currently between dogs, Megan is hoping to add one (or ten) to the family in the near future.
