Dr. Samson grew up in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her veterinary interests include preventive medicine and working with families to meet the health needs of their furry family members. Dr. Samson lives with her husband and their furry and scaly family members: Darwin (Australian shepherd) and Curie (mini aussie), Marvin (a female Central American ornate wood turtle), Sullivan (Eastern box turtle), Orion (corn snake), and Cali and Macky (a pair of crested geckos). Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, exploring the numerous parks and beaches of Western Washington, reading and relaxing with her family.

She also enjoys gardening with the help of her cats, Kazi and Tuuli, and running or playing fetch with her mixed breed dog, Kaia.
