    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Law earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she joined the Banfield team and has practiced at numerous Banfield hospitals up and down the east coast as her husband is an active duty Marine. Practicing in various geographic locations has given her great perspective and a variety of experiences that have served her patients and their people well since her promotion to a Chief of Staff. Dr. Law has special interests in leadership development, preventive medicine and surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Law can be found competing her horses in Eventing or spending time with her husband and toddlar and their 2 cats, Snitch and Blitz, and their rescue dog, Panda. More Details >>

    Dr. Salaj began her career with Banfield in October 2017. She completed her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech and attended St. George's University in Grenada for her DVM. Dr. Salaj has 2 Labrador retrievers, Bella and Riley, and a German shepherd named Kenzie. In her free time, she enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy books, and playing World of Warcraft.     Dr. Susan Ries Valashinas joined Banfield in 2002 upon graduating from NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Valashinas is proficient at many soft tissue surgeries and enjoys the challenges that surgery brings! She grew up in Williamsburg, VA and has recently moved back to the area to be near family. Dr. Valashinas lives with her husband, son, and their two dogs, a beagle named Faith, and a standard poodle puppy named Gerry. More Details >>

    Dr. Framson started with Banfield in January 2018 in Tampa, Florida. She completed her undergraduate degree at Hobart & William Smith Colleges in New York and her DVM at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts.     Practice Manager

    Tracy began her career as a Practice Manager with Banfield Williamsburg in September of 2015. She describes her position as the perfect mix of interacting with clients, developing and training associates, and helping animals. As our self-proclaimed Head Crazy Cat Lady, Tracy enjoys working with kitties of all ages, and working with clients to get the best care for their cats. In her free time, Tracy fosters for the Isle of Wight Animal Shelter and rehabilitates sick and/or feral kittens, with the occasional medical or hospice foster.     Kaitlin started with Banfield in August 2018, in Virginia Beach, VA. She moved to Williamsburg in October 2020, with her husband and son, joining the Banfield Williamsburg team. Courtney might be your pet’s Technician when they visit for their annual dental cleaning, as one of her preventive care passions is routine dental care! Courtney can also be found helping us to say “Yes!” to getting your pet in quickly by performing Certified Veterinary Technician Appointments for vaccine boosters, recheck appointments, and medication administration. She really enjoys being able to educate clients on how to keep their pets happy and healthy so they can enjoy a long life together.     Destine started with Banfield Williamsburg in April 2017, having come with experience at other veterinary clinics in the area. Destine’s passion is preventive care and medical quality. She is also our hospital’s Safety Officer! Destine is trained as a surgical nurse for anesthetic procedures, so she might be your pet’s nurse when they visit for their annual dental cleaning. Destine, her partner, and her son have just purchased a new home.     Chili began her Banfield career in November 2020. Chili has a passion for animal rescue and networking. She and her mother started Beauty Through the Rust, an all-volunteer animal rescue organization in 2018. Chili also fosters feral and sick kittens for the Isle of Wight Animal Shelter and works to network pets all over the East Coast.     Brianne began her Banfield career in February 2015, as a Client Service Coordinator. She promoted to a Veterinary Assistant, but can sometimes be seen lending a hand at the front desk. Brianne has a talent for names and faces and makes it a point to remember each client and their pet. She has three dogs, a Boxer named Mila, a rescue named Jewels and a terrier mix named Diesel. During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her young son, and watching him experience growing up on the same goat farm she did, with cows and horses.     Stephanie began her Banfield Williamsburg career as a Client Service Coordinator in June 2017, although her parents have been dedicated clients for years! She quickly promoted to a Veterinary Assistant, but can still occasionally be seen helping out at the front desk. Stephanie loves animals and insects of all shapes and sizes. She is famous for rescuing moths, spiders, and crickets and moving them back outside. She shares her life with two cats she rescued as sickly kittens, and a beautiful python.     Lauren started with Banfield Williamsburg in September of 2016. As part of a military family, Lauren has lived all over the country – Pennsylvania, Louisiana, and now Virginia. Lauren is a creative at heart and loves to doodle, decorate, and cook for her friends. She shares her home with her rescue kitty, whom Lauren adopted after volunteering at a shelter with the Mars Volunteer Program. Lauren is also studying to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
