    The Sterling Banfield Pet Hospital focuses in small animal medicine, preventive care, reptile and small mammal exotic medicine, avian wing and beak trimmings, and making every client feel like part of our Banfield family. 
    You can also visit our online pet health library for help with pet health challenges at home. All the pet health articles in our library are written by Banfield experts and include a variety of species and topics. These pet health articles are a valuable resource for all pet owners.

    Megan Kilduff, DVM


    Dr. Kilduff received her Bachelor of Science in animal science from the University of Massachuesetts at Amherst in 2002. She received her veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences in 2006. Her areas of interest in veterinary medicine are dentistry, small animal internal medicine and preventive care. Dr. Kilduff has been working at the Sterling location since 2010. She lives in Ashburn with her husband, David; their beagle, Baxter and their kitty, Felix. Dr. Kilduff enjoys reading, watching television, traveling, visiting wineries and cooking. More Details >>

    Jodie Stowell, DVM


    Dr. Jodie Stowell graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Her areas of interest include ophthalmology and reptile exotic medicine. During her free time, Dr. Stowell enjoys eventing, reading and hiking. She has four horses named Comet, Fever, Roogar and Byrd and one bearded dragon named Squishy. More Details >>

    Megan Dolese, DVM


    Born in Baton Rouge, LA, Dr. Megan Dolese has been a veterinarian at Sterling since 2008. She received her Bachelor of Science as well as her veterinary degree from Louisiana State University. Dr. Dolese is interested in small animal medicine, specifically soft tissue surgery. She wanted to be a veterinarian because as a child, she saw her guinea pig give birth. She thought it was an exciting experience, and it immediately made her want to work with animals when she grew up. She lives in Lucketts, VA with her husband Chris, their daughter Sydney, and their son Connor. They share their home with their boxer-pitbull mix, Rosie and their boxer, Ginger.     Amber Strege, DVM


    Dr. Strege has been at Sterling since 2012. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from UVA-Wise and her DVM from Virginia Tech. She currently lives in Ashburn, VA with her husband Brett and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Frankie. Her special interests are preventive care and surgery.     Dr. Richard Trisotto is from New Jersey, and has been with Banfield since 2010 and at Sterling since 2013. He received his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and his veterinary degree from St. George's. He currently lives in Herndon, VA with his pit bull, Butters. In his free time, he enjoys playing goalie in ice hockey and soccer, hiking and traveling. He is also interested in computers and photography.     Practice Manager

    Joana Obering started with Banfield in 2010, and came to the Sterling location in 2014. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Christopher Newport University. She lives in Leesburg, VA with her husband, Paul. They share their home with three dogs named Taz, Ella and Aubrie, their cat named Sophie, their turtle named Henri, their hedgehog named Velvet, and their bearded dragon named Spyro. Joana wanted to become a practice manager so she could ensure both pets and their owners have a wonderful experience at every single veterinarian visit. Her professional interests include educating people on and spreading her passion about preventive care, training, motivating and developing people to be the best employees that they can be.     Lizzie Hines, BVMS, MRCVS


    Dr. Hines is from Oakton, VA and has been with the Sterling team since 2014. She got her BS from the University of Vermont and her MRCVS from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine and dermatology. She currently lives in Middleburg and has a standard bred gelding named Vik. In her free time she enjoys outdoor sports, traveling, volunteering with animals and wine tasting. More Details >>

    Brittany Wilt, DVM


    Dr. Brittany Wilt, a native of Lovettsville, VA, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal & poultry sciences from Virginia Tech in 2010 and worked in the animal science industry for a brief period before entering the VA-MD Vet Med Class of 2015.
