    Dr. Kamran Afzal


    Dr. Afzal graduated from the College of Veterinary Sciences in 1997, and moved to Canada in 2006 with his family. He passed the VSTEP (Veterinary Skills Training and Enhancement Program) from Ontario Veterinary College as well as the ECFVG from the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Afzal was practicing veterinary medicine In Canada before coming to Virginia. He Joined Banfield in August 2015 and has special interests in soft tissue surgery.     Dr. Thirumala Dasari


    Dr. Dasari is originally from India and grew up on a farm with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, sheep, and chickens. He was inspired to become a veterinarian as he grew older, caring and healing animals on the farm. He received a scholarship from the College of Veterinary Science in Hyderabad, India and graduated with his DVM in 1998. Dr. Dasari came to USA in 2004 and went on to complete a one year clinical residency at Oklahoma State University. He has been with Banfield since 2007. Dr. Dasari's professional interests include wellness and preventive care, dermatology, internal medicine/critical care, cardiology, senior chronic disease management, soft tissue surgery, and oncology.     Practice Manager

    Monica is originally from Texas, where she grew up on a small farm learning about different types of animals. She received her bachelor's degree from Baylor University, and then spent 4 years at PetSmart learning all she could about pets, their parents, and that very special bond we all have with our pets. While at PetSmart, Monica held various management positions that helped prepare her for the very exciting, yet different, world of veterinary medicine.     Lyra Tran

    Shift Lead

    Lyra is currently working towards her license as a Veterinary Technician at Penn Foster College. She plans to continue her education to become a Veterinary Dental Technician (VDT), which will secure her future with veterinary medicine and her passion for dentistry. Lyra was a dental assistant at a private dental practice in Manassas, VA for four years before joining Banfield as a Client Service Coordinator. Three years later, she has become Shift Lead at the Clifton location. She strives to educate clients on the importance of preventive care, deliver high-quality medicine, and help engage associates on further development. When Lyra isn’t at the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, Eevee and Snoopy, and playing flag-football for a co-ed, adult sports league. More Details >>
