Dr. Alexandra Miller
Veterinarian
Dr. Alexandra Miller grew up in Houston, Texas and Great Falls, Virginia. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Oregon where she studied environmental science, geography, and biology. For her graduate education she attended Kansas State University and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2011. After graduation, Dr. Miller moved to the beautiful Salt Lake valley and began her career in general practice at Banfield Pet Hospital. In her free time she enjoys being in the mountains skiing and hiking as well as spending time with her two dogs, Vegas, a Husky, and Archie, a German Shorthaired Pointer. Ebinezzer her Akita has since passed away. Even though he is not physically here, he will always be in her heart.

Dr. Catherine Sawula
Veterinarian
Dr. Catherine Sawula was born and raised in Litchfield, Connecticut. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Providence College in Providence, RI in 2005. She then went on to obtain her DVM at Oklahoma State University in 2009 and became a diehard Cowboys fan. After graduation, Dr. Sawula spent a year practicing in Tucson, Arizona, prior to moving to Salt Lake City in 2010. Dr. Sawula's professional interests include dermatology, ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, she spends time rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. She shares her home with her Black Labrador Retriever, Porter.

Dr. Heather Oltjen
Veterinarian
Dr. Heather Oltjen grew up in Poolesville, Maryland, a small town without a single stoplight. She moved to California to complete her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Stanford University in 2008, then attended veterinary school at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine on the Virginia Tech campus. After graduating, she moved west to Salt Lake City and joined the Banfield family in the summer of 2012. Her professional interests include endocrine disease, cardiology and urology. When she's not here in the clinic, Dr. Oltjen loves to be outside hiking and skiing. She lives in Salt Lake with her husband, Ryan, and their 2 crazy cats, Mo and Pearl.

Dr. Samantha Crawford
Veterinarian
Dr. Samantha Crawford grew up in Athens, Georgia and received her Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from the University of Georgia in 2013. She also attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her DVM degree in 2018. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery and dermatology. Outside of work, she spends time road biking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and hiking with her black lab, Bo. Dr. Crawford is also an ambassador for "Rescue-Project”, a group of athletes who spread awareness for animal rescue and support of fostering through the community of sport.
