    Dr. Melad Whaba

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Melad Whaba graduated in 2003 from Cairo Egypt University of Veterinary Medicine and received a post graduate diploma in Food Microbiology. Dr. Whaba then graduated from AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) through the ECFG Program. He has been with Banfield Pet Hospital since 2015, and he is passionate about small animal medicine with an emphasis in emergency and soft tissue surgeries. He is married with two boys, two girls, a little French bulldog named Betsy, and a cat named Peaches. Something a lot of people do not know about Dr. Whaba is that even though he is a veterinarian, he is afraid of snakes. More Details >>

    Dr. Christina Phillips


    Dr. Phillips is a graduate of St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine, and she completed her clinical year at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She has done externships at several zoos, and likes to volunteer for Trap-Neuter-Release sterilization events for feral cats. She completed a small animal rotating medical and surgical internship at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, as well as a small animal surgical internship at VCA Alameda East. She then worked as a small animal emergency veterinarian at an emergency and referral veterinary hospital for four years in the Northeast prior to moving to sunny Texas to work in general practice at Banfield. Dr. Phillips likes to travel, read, hike, swim, and raise orchids, and she has two funny cats who are learning new tricks. More Details >>
