Dr. Amanda Vasicek
Veterinarian
Dr. Vasicek obtained her DVM degree from Oklahoma State Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, and graduated with Phi Zeta honors in May 2007. She moved to Austin, TX and began her career with Banfield in July 2007. She moved to the Houston area in May 2013, and has been working at the Sugar Land location for over 2 years. Dr. Vasicek has a passion for anything Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, ophthalmology, and preventive care medicine. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, visiting with friends and family, and spending time with her 13-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Tessa Berry.

Dr. Aurora Walker
Veterinarian
Dr. Walker was born and raised in Arizona and graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. degree in veterinary science and minor in chemistry. She earned her DVM from Ross University on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Kitts, and attended Texas A&M University for her clinical year. While pursuing her DVM, Dr. Walker volunteered at local humane societies, participated in several research projects, worked as a small animal technician, and held officer positions of school organizations. Her professional interests include preventive care and wound management. When Dr. Walker is not busy at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their two fluffy Shih Tzus, Snickers and Muffin.

Kristopher Vanburen
Practice Manager
Kristopher graduated from Texas Southern University with a bachelor's degree in business, then from the University of Houston with his MBA. Kristopher joined the Banfield team in July 2015. Always a pet owner and animal lover, he was extremely excited that his career path brought him to work with animals. He loves seeing all the new pets and meeting all different types of pet owners. Kristopher loves all animals but his favorite canine happens to be the breed of German rottweiler. Kristopher has owned four friendly rottweilers throughout his life.

Veterinary Technician
Kelsey graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Houston in 2013 and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has been with Banfield since December of 2013 and chose this career because animals have always been her passion. She loves horses and going mudding in her free time. At home, Kelsey has 2 dogs, 2 cats, 5 snakes, and a horse named LB.

Veterinary Assistant
Prentice has worked at Banfield Pet Hospital in Sugar Land as a veterinary assistant for almost five years. She has two small dogs, two cats, and a hedgehog. What she loves most about her job is that she is able to care for other pets like she would her own, and she also loves educating clients about their pets.

LeTretta graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in biology and a minor in psychology. She has had an interest in animal behavior since childhood and enjoys learning their many quirks. LaTretta has 4 dogs, a fish tank full of fish, and a bearded dragon. Her favorite part of the job is caring for the animals and giving them extra TLC.

Luke graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in human resource development and a minor in military studies in August of 2016. He grew up on a ranch and has always been around animals. He decided after graduating from A&M that working with animals truly was his passion and he started working for Banfield in December of 2017. Luje has two Siberian huskies and a ball python.

Victoria has worked for Banfield for 2 years and loves it! She has always had a passion for animals, and has a certification from the Animal Behavior College and will further her education with a degree in animal science. Victoria currently has 3 dogs, a cat, and is a soon to be mommy. In her free time, she enjoys ice skating, being among friends and family, and loving her pets.

She is currently working on her master’s in agriculture (SAFE program) from Sam Houston State University. Kayla has been with Banfield a total of 3 years and is a new team member at the Sugar Land location. She has always had a passion for animal care and gets fulfillment out of passing this passion on to clients!
