Dr. Joseph Quinn
Veterinarian
Dr. Joe Quinn graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and he established TEGAC in 1991 with his wife, Dr. Chelly Quinn, joining the practice soon after. They have enjoyed growing the practice and serving the area in various capacities with Dr. Joe being a Sunnyvale school board member and volunteer middle school football coach. He and his wife give their time to the service dogs of Canine Companions for Independence by performing physicals and PennHIP X-rays to ensure their soundness prior to being placed. Dr. Quinn has three grown children, Clay, Jill, and Josh, all with careers or studying to serve in human health fields. He has a golden retriever named Cooper and in his free time, he enjoys travel, hiking, skiing, and pretty much anything outdoors.

Dr. Chelly Quinn
Veterinarian
Dr. Chelly Quinn graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and she joined TEGAC in 1991 shortly after her husband, Dr. Joe Quinn, started the practice. She is on the board of directors of Search One Rescue Team, is a founder of Sunnyvale Raider Pride Booster Club, and served on the Mesquite Animal Shelter committee. She also became certified as a Canine Rehabilitation Therapist in 2015 and added certification in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture in 2018. Dr. Quinn has three grown children, Clay, Jill, and Josh, all with careers or studying to serve in human health fields. She has a golden retriever named Cooper (also her running buddy) and in her free time, she enjoys travel, hiking, skiing, and pretty much anything outdoors.

Dr. Leah Lobnitz
Veterinarian
Dr. Leah Lobnitz grew up in Sunnyvale, Texas, and earned a biology degree from Morehead State University in Kentucky, which she attended on a tennis scholarship. She continued on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 2015. Dr. Lobnitz loves reading, anything pertaining to the great outdoors, and spending time with her family. She has three dogs, Ady Gil (pictured), Gem, and Tily, and a one-eyed cat named Pirate. She has been a member of the TEGAC family since 2009, and looks forward to meeting you and caring for your furry loved ones.

Dr. Christina Gietema
Veterinarian
Dr. Christina Gietema grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she also played volleyball for the Lady Mocs. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2017. Shortly after graduating veterinary school, she got married and then moved to Texas. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants and traveling with her husband, Thomas. She also enjoys relaxing at home with her 2 pets who both turned 15 this year! Penny is a red/white mixed breed dog and Snowy is a white short-haired cat. Dr. Gietema looks forward to meeting you and getting to know your furry friends.

Dr. Stephanie Smothers
Veterinarian
Dr. Stephanie Smothers grew up in Grapevine, TX, and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012 with a double-major in entomology and biomedical sciences. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2016 from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is married to Tyler who is an 8th grade history teacher in Mesquite at ACNEW. She and her husband share her home with a Yorkiepoo named Daisy, a tortoiseshell named Marble, a three-legged tabby named Oliver, a Russian tortoise named Tortellini, and a blue-eyed husky named Lily. Her special interests include preventive medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Smothers is looking forward to meeting your pets and giving them great medical care!

Practice Manager
Lauren received her Master of Education degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She has a doberman named Cody and a Dachshund named Ethyl, who both join her at work most days. Melody Dyson
Shift Lead
Mel began working at TEGAC as a veterinary technician in 2009. She really enjoys working with the animals and helping educate people to ensure they can take the best possible care of their pets. Mel received an associate's degree in business from Midwestern State University. One of her greatest strengths is easing the anxiety of both the pet and the owner by providing strong patient care. At home, she has two dogs, Cedar and Rosie.

Jessica joined TEGAC in the fall of 2013. Before moving to the Dallas area, she worked as a technician in San Antonio. Jessica is often referred to as the cat whisperer because cats respond really well to her. She has three dogs and two cats at home, as well as a son, Daylyn, and daughter, Saige.

Carrie Clark, LVT
Veterinary Technician
Carrie graduated from Cedar Valley College in 1997 with an associate's degree in veterinary technology and is a licensed veterinary technician. She has known the Quinn's since 1995. She is married with a son named Carson, and they have a lab mix named Casey and a boxer named Linux. She loves working with animals and getting to know all of our wonderful clients!

Courtney Brown
Veterinary Assistant
Courtney was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She graduated from Texas State University in 2012 with a bachelor's of animal science degree and knew small animals were her thing. She joined TEGAC in 2014, and her favorite part about her job is ensuring all animals are treated as if they are her own and helping clients do what’s best for their pets. At home, Courtney has a lab mix named Chocolate Chip, a mini Dachshund named Bentley, and a Dachshund named Lyzah.

Katie Browning
Veterinary Assistant
Katie has been a part of TEGAC for the past 14 years. However, you will only find her at the hospital part of the week as she is also a stay at home mom to her 2 kiddos, Emry and Henry. She also cares for 2 ducks, and dogs, Phillie, Vinny, Hank, Buddy and Penny. Katie loves working with animals and feels that she is doing exactly what she has been called to do. She does a great job of listening to the owners and being sympathetic to the pets.

Chelsey Bryant
Veterinary Assistant
Chelsey worked in the veterinary field for a year and a half prior to joining our team in March 2016. She is currently CVA certified but is working towards vet school to specialize in dermatology. She has a Blue Lacy named Lea and a Shar Pei mix named Sirius Black. Both pets have anxiety issues but since implementing Fear Free tactics, Chelsey has noticed a difference by making her pets and others feel safer about their visit to TEGAC.

Brooke joined TEGAC in the summer of 2016 as a kennel technician but recently moved into the role as a veterinary assistant. She does a great job making sure all of the pets in her care feel at home and get lots of love. She is very detail oriented and keeps the kennels clean and smelling great. Her goal is to gain experience and become a licensed veterinary assistant. In her free time, Brooke loves to go hiking with her boyfriend and lab, Duke.

Aubrey has two dogs, two rabbits, and a cat at home.

Jo has been a part of the team since 1991, resulting in 30 years in the veterinary industry. She loves both the animals and people, and has an amazing memory when it comes to remembering clients and their pets. She graduated from Cooke County College. Jo has lots of pets at home including Carly and JC, as well as cats, Lucy, Ty, Alister, Gonzo, and Heathcliff. Her granddaughter, Violet, also recently started living with her full-time which keeps her young.

Veronica joined the TEGAC family in October of 2016. She is currently attending Cedar Valley to become a registered veterinary technician so she can work hands on with animals everyday. She is married with a daughter named Harue, and they have four pets, Bruno, Mia, Pilaf and Shu-Shu. She is passionate about serving animals and loves meeting them each day at work. Her hobbies include drawing and cuddling with her pets.

Mindy became a full-time groomer for TEGAC in 1991 after completing VTI Grooming School the year prior. She loves making the dogs look and feel great, and does a great job reading the dogs and making sure they are not anxious while getting groomed. At home, she has three dogs, Rex, Chloe, and Prince, as well as a cat named Kitty.
