    This Banfield Pet Hospital® in Lewisville, TX is devoted to your pet’s well being. This location (previously Timber Valley Pet Hospital) was started in 1993 by Dr. Brian D. Gray, DVM with the original intention to offer “special care for your special pets”. This personal approach to veterinary medicine delivered by Dr. Gray and his caring staff has defined this hospital for over 22 years.

    Our veterinarians spend quality time with each and every pet, whether for routine health and preventive care, surgical procedures, low level laser therapy, diagnostics, vaccinations, or boarding. Our veterinarians genuinely enjoy informing and educating clients about their pet’s needs and well being.     Dr. Brian D. Gray

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Gray graduated from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He started his career working in a mixed practice in the Houston area, and then moved to the Dallas area in 1986. He spent the next several years working in emergency and critical care practices before starting Timber Valley Pet Hospital in 1993. Dr. Gray provides genuine compassionate care to his patients and their owners, and treats each and every pet with kindness and consideration, while delivering the highest quality veterinary care. His patience and authentic desire to provide the best in veterinary care is widely recognized by his loyal clientele, many of whom have been bringing their pets to him for 15 or more years.     Dr. Jill Whitwell

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Whitwell grew up in Houston, Texas with a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. After graduating from Abilene Christian University in 1986, she was accepted into Texas A&M University of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1990. Following graduation, she spent the next year in a rotating internship with the West Los Angeles Veterinary Medical Group where she received additional training in surgery, endoscopy and emergency critical care. Dr. Whitwell spent over 20 years working at the North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic in Carrollton, Texas, and became part of Timber Valley Pet Hospital after many years of Dr. Gray attempting to hire her. Dr. Whitwell has lived in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area since 1992 and is excited to be serving this community.     Tasia Ward

    Practice Manager

    Tasia has been working for Timber Valley Pet Hospital since 2007, and during her employment, she has learned and perfected every single position on staff! Tasia is able to remain businesslike and stay focused during our hectic appointment times and always does her best to organize our veterinarians so clients are taken care of as efficiently as possible. She strives to use her influence on other team members in a positive way as well. Tasia has always set the example for others to follow with regard to her work ethic, productivity, and professionalism.     Randell Shaklee

    Veterinary Assistant

    Randell has been with us since February of 2002. Although he has been cross-trained in every area of the practice, he prefers his direct hands-on-the-pets position as veterinary assistant. He has earned a reputation for being able to handle any and all pets, and has the ability to calm even the most fearful or timid ones. This ability and love for animals has led Randell to start his own pet care service. He has developed a relationship of trust with many pet owners who have been asking him to offer pet sitting services in their homes. Randell is a pleasure to be around and he treats all pets with kindness and love.     Veterinary Assistant

    Bree came to us in January 2017 as a new recruit from Animal Behavior College where she was seeking to complete her externship work requirements so she could become a Certified Veterinary Assistant. She immediately impressed us with her calm demeanor and her confidence in her ability to learn the job skills required. Bree is focused on patient care every day and does her job quietly and efficiently. She is very gentle and sweet with the patients and her calm presence is soothing to be around.     Veterinary Assistant

    Brianna came to work for us after completing her coursework at Animal Behavior College and receiving certification as an ABC Certified Veterinary Assistant. She is learning and improving her skill level quickly because she pays attention, asks good questions and remains quietly focused on her tasks throughout the day. She is very caring and compassionate with the animals, and clearly wants what is best for each patient.     Veterinary Assistant

    Brisa has been part of our team since October of 2015 and has proven to be a valuable asset. She originally came to our clinic seeking veterinary practice experience as a volunteer because she was a student working on her undergraduate degree in a related field. She hopes to become a veterinarian within the near future. Brisa has excelled in her previous positions and has quickly become one of our most dedicated team members who has proven to be very committed to exceptional patient care.
