Dr. Michael Murray
Chief of Staff
Dr. Murray graduated from the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and following graduation, he practiced in his home state of New Mexico for 3 years. He joined the Banfield team in October 2015 after moving back to Colorado. He moved to Texas in June 2017 and has taken the role of Chief of Staff for the Banfield Conroe location. Dr. Murray's professional interests include preventive medicine and wellness care, general surgery, and dentistry. In his free time, he can be found tending to his dogs, Finnegan, Cache, Porter, and Prudence; cats, Walker and Texas Ranger (or TR, as we call him); goats, Buster, Stevie Nicks, and Paisley; and horse, TJ. He also enjoys playing music, cooking, home brewing and traveling.

Dr. Emily Barquet
Veterinarian
Dr. Barquet was born and raised in Puerto Rico surrounded by her family’s dogs, cats, sheep, goats and Paso Fino horses. During her undergraduate and graduate career at the University of Florida, she worked as a veterinary technician at an equine hospital. She then completed her DVM at Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2012 where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the Phi Zeta veterinary honors society. After a year of equine internship/practice, Dr. Barquet moved to Texas in 2013 and has since practiced small animal medicine with Banfield, first in McAllen and then in Conroe. Her areas of interest include surgery, ophthalmology and geriatric care/chronic pain management. When not working, she can be found at home with her husband, stepson, 4 dogs and cat. She spends her free time hiking, camping, kayaking, baking, missing the beach and spending an evening with a good book.
