Family is a big part of anyone's life, and our pets are a part of that family. Banfield Pet Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee respects that your pet is your family, and treat them accordingly. We offer routine care like pet vaccinations and comprehensive check-ups, along with the diagnosis and treatment of various medical issues. We have a state of the art clinic with digital radiology, high speed dental unit for dental prophylaxis and in-house laboratory. We provide routine soft tissue surgery, limited orthopedic surgery and limited exotic medicine. Here at our Knoxville location, we focus on treating your pet as you'd want any other family member to be treated.

Dr. Lisa Garren
Chief of Staff
Dr. Garren is a 1996 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from Pennsylvania but has called Tennessee home since 1990. She has been with Banfield Pet Hospital since April 2011. Prior to joining Banfield, she owned an equine ambulatory practice for many years as well as practicing small animal medicine in the area. Dr. Garren has a daughter at home along with 4 horses, 5 dogs and 1 cats. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her horses, reading and needlework.

Dr. Jenny Sangid
Veterinarian
Dr. Sangid is a 2015 graduate of University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She also holds a Master of Science degree in environmental physiology and genetics from the University of Missouri. Born and raised in Kingsport, TN, Dr. Sangid is happy to call East Tennessee her home. She is married to her husband, Jordan, and they have two dachshunds, Otto von Dachshund and Woodrow. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking and hiking.

Dr. Sarah Alaniz
Veterinarian
Dr. Sarah Alaniz is a native Southern Californian that grew up in San Diego. She was a musician before realizing her true calling, veterinary medicine. After Dr. Alaniz graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine, she entered into a dermatology specialty internship at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego which focused on allergies and diseases of the skin. Dr. Alaniz is excited to bring her love of dermatology as well as dentistry, infectious disease, and pocket pets to Banfield. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, crocheting, and playing her flute and piccolo.

Dr. Mackenzy Horner
Veterinarian
Dr. Horner grew up in Northern Illinois and knew from a young age that she wanted to work with animals. Initially a veterinary technician, she decided to continue her education and became a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. During her schooling, she moved to Knoxville to finish her clinical training. She fell in love with the area and decided after graduation to stay. Her areas of interest, outside of preventive care, include behavior, nutrition, and holistic therapies. In her spare time, Dr. Horner enjoys spending time with her daughter, working on her house, and crafting different projects.
