Welcome to the newest Banfield Pet Hospital of Summerville, SC. Here at the Sawmill Village location, we are committed to providing excellent preventive care for your pets. We offer a variety of services from vaccinations, spay and neuter procedures, to dental cleanings and wellness check-ups. Our staff is at your service to help you choose the Optimum Wellness Plan® that can help you manage pet health care costs.
Our doctor team and staff are excited to serve the Summerville community and we look forward to meeting you and your pets. At Sawmill Village Banfield, we treat your pets and you like family.
We are located in the Sawmill Village Plaza at the intersection of Trolley and Bacon's Bridge Road next to Harris Teeter. Dr. Christine Eidson
Veterinarian
Dr. Eidson grew up in North Dakota and moved to the Carolinas for her undergraduate degree. As a child, Dr. Eidson would see injured animals and not knowing what to do would break her heart. She attended veterinary school in order to be able to help people and their pets everyday! Dr. Eidson graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2013, and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Eidson has a 9-year-old Japanese Chin/Chihuahua named Pixie, and Tigger, a 19-year-old Appendix Quarter Horse. She enjoys spending as much time as possible with her dog, her horse, and family and friends. Dr. Eidson also loves finding new restaurants and events in the Low Country.

Dr. Eva McElligott
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. McElligott has been with Banfield since August 2016. She graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with bachelor degrees in biology and chemistry and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She started her career doing a large animal internship at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine and an internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McElligott has spent her whole life around animals and is passionate about keeping them happy and healthy. In her free time, Dr. McElligott enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She looks forward to being your family veterinarian and hopes you enjoy the new Summerville location at Sawmill!

Dr. Amanda Yancey
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Yancey has been with Banfield since July 2012. She graduated from the University of Florida with bachelor degrees in biology and anthropology, and a master’s degree in forensic toxicology, before completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies. She started her career with a Banfield in the Houston area, before transferring to the Lowcountry in 2014. Formerly, "Dr. King", she became "Dr. Yancey" in the Summer of 2016 after marrying the love of her life, Isaac. They live in Summerville with their rambunctious rescue Shepherd/pit mix, Toby, and their ornery cat, Jasmine. Dr. Yancey is passionate about preventive care and has a special heart for older pets. She is excited to continue her career at the new stand alone location in Summerville with our fantastic team.
