Dr. Laura Gerbec
Veterinarian
Dr. Gerbec grew up in Chicago and received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University in English literature. After graduation, she moved to Minnesota, bought a horse and received her DVM from the University of Minnesota in 1997. Dr. Gerbec practiced equine medicine for six years, a path that brought her to South Carolina, but now enjoys caring for small animals with an emphasis on felines. She is especially moved by the bond between clients and their senior pets. She enjoys young adult fiction, 19th century novels, hiking and has previously shown horses. Dr. Gerbec has six cats, one dog, and a horse. Each of them came to her in need of a home or special care and is proud to have created a happy home for her pets.
