Dr. Wetzel grew up on a small hobby farm in Van Lear, Kentucky. From a young age, she loved animals of all kinds, and a career working with them was inevitable. Dr. Wetzel then attended the Auburn University of College of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated in 2018 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree. She and her husband, Jon, are high school sweethearts and have 3 German Shepherds (Sebastian, Mavis, and Ziva), 2 cats (Jasper and Amelia), and 2 chinchillas (Rico and Chico). Dr. Dominique Matthews

    Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Matthews recently relocated from Illinois to South Carolina to be closer to family, which is a decision she does NOT regret! Originally from New Jersey, she graduated from the University of Scranton with a bachelor's degree in biology and subsequently graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical rotations at Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Matthews has spent the last 5 years practicing at an AHHA accredited small animal clinic in Illinois focusing on feline friendly practices and Fear Free techniques. She also worked closely with a large pit bull rescue, so pitties hold a special place in her heart. Dr. Matthews and her husband have 2 pups at home, Duke (Australian cattle dog) and Tucker (Australian cattle dog/corgi mix), who are spoiled to the max! More Details >>
