Dr. Kimberly Alexander spent most of her childhood at her father’s veterinary practice while growing up in Columbia, SC. She was inspired to follow in her father’s footsteps to become a veterinarian. Dr. Alexander completed her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina and her veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating from veterinary school, she spent nine years in New York, which included a rotating and surgical internship at the Animal Medical Center – New York City. Dr. Alexander spent nine years in New York and returned to South Carolina to avoid the bad Mid-Atlantic winters and be closer to her family. Dr. Alexander’s professional interests include surgery and dermatology. Her personal interests include horse back riding and cooking, and she has a dog, Rufus, a 9-year-old Norwich terrier.

Dr. Christine Eidson grew up in North Dakota and moved to the Carolinas for her undergraduate degree, where she fell in love – good weather, people, and food! As a child, Dr. Eidson would see injured animals and not knowing what to do would break her heart. She attended veterinary school in order to be able to help people and their pets everyday! Dr. Eidson graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2013. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Dr. Eidson has a 9-year-old Japanese Chin/Chihuahua named Pixie, and Tigger, a 19 year old Appendix Quarter Horse. She enjoys spending as much time as possible with her dog, her horse, and family and friends. Dr. Eidson also loves finding new restaurants and events in the Low Country.

Dr. Gerbec grew up in Chicago and received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University in English literature. After graduation, she moved to Minnesota, bought a horse and received her DVM from the University of Minnesota in 1997. Dr. Gerbec practiced equine medicine for six years, a path that brought her to South Carolina. She is especially moved by the bond between clients and their senior pets. She enjoys young adult fiction, 19th century novels, hiking and has previously shown horses. Dr. Gerbec has seven cats and three dogs. Each of them came to her in need of a home or special care and is proud to have created a happy home for her pets.
