Dr. Giselle Boertjens
Chief of Staff
Dr. Giselle Boertjens grew up in Prairieville, Louisiana. She completed her undergraduate education at Louisiana Tech University and obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Boertjens has practiced both companion and large animal medicine, and now focuses on our canine and feline friends. Her veterinary interests include dermatology, emergency care, surgery, and internal medicine. She and her husband reside in Somerset, PA with their golden retriever, Jackson, border collie Somer, and 2 spoiled-rotten cats, Humphrey and Reba. During her free time, Dr. Boertjens enjoys hiking, kayaking, painting, and working on their sheep farm.

Dr. Sarah Pontillo
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Sarah Pontillo completed her undergraduate education at Pennsylvania State University and her veterinary education at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She worked in New York as a general practitioner and moved back to the Pittsburgh area in 2014 to be closer to family and friends. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. Her interests outside of work include spending time with her family and friends, trying new places to eat, running, yoga and various outdoor activities. Dr. Pontillo and her husband are the proud owners of two German shorthaired pointers and one tabby cat.

Dr. Angela Petrosko
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Angela Petrosko grew up in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg where she majored in biology with a minor in psychology. She obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. Dr. Petrosko's veterinary interests include dermatology, emergency medicine and the treatment of diabetic patients. Her interests outside of work include spending time with her two dogs, Snicker Doodle and Eclair, watching college football, playing the piano and traveling.

Rachael Pavlik
Practice Manager
Rachael was born and raised in Latrobe, PA and she graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2014. She then began a career with Banfield Pet Hospital in Greensburg, rising from veterinary technician, to shift lead, and now practice manager. Prior to her work in veterinary medicine, Rachael served 5 years as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps with tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. She then served 6 years with the Pennsylvania National Guard. During her free time, Rachael enjoys spending time with her 2 boxers, being outdoors, working in her garden, and roller derby.
