Dr. Garrett Downs
Veterinarian
Dr. Downs earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2005. After graduation, he moved out to the Pacific Northwest and started practicing veterinary medicine at our Beaverton hospital. His professional interests include preventive care, surgery, and dentistry. When he and his wife are not spending time with their dogs Milly and Houdini, or their cat Cammie, they enjoy taking in the city life.

She has worked for Banfield for a year and really enjoys behavior medicine. She moved from Alaska to Oregon for family and has happily been living here for the last year and a half. Dr. Savikko enjoys hiking and spending time outside with her family.

Dr. Foroud earned his DVM degree from Karaj Azad University in Iran in 2010. As soon as he graduated, he started a PhD program in veterinary surgery and received his PhD degree from Shiraz University in 2015. After moving to the U.S., he did a research fellowship at Cornell University and then moved to Portland, Oregon with his family. Dr. Foroud earned his U.S. veterinary license through the ECFVG program and started working at Banfield in 2017. He enjoys playing tennis, traveling and working in the garden. His professional interests include surgery and preventive medicine.

Veterinarian
Dr. Hrysyzen attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa to receive her bachelor’s degree in animal sciences. She then moved from Hawaii to Colorado to attend veterinary school at Colorado State University, and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. After graduation, she moved to Oregon with her husband to be closer to family. She currently has a hedgehog, Hazel, and a dog, Honey. Dr. Hrysyzen enjoys exploring the outdoors, rock climbing, and spending time with family.
