    Dr. Shana Schmitt

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Schmitt received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Oklahoma State University in 2007, and her doctorate from OSU’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences in 2011. After graduation, she worked at an emergency and critical care hospital in their intensive care unit. Having treated many critical pets and counseled worried clients about diseases and illnesses, Dr. Schmitt wanted to focus on disease prevention and early detection, and joined Banfield in April 2013. Along with emergency medicine and preventive care, Dr. Schmitt also has a special interest in nutrition. She shares her home with her husband, Nick, son, Eli, a lab named Duke, a Great Dane named Jackson, and a cat named Moe. Dr. Schmitt and her family are members of Lakeside United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, and she enjoys spending time with her family, almost anything outdoors, and is a loyal Oklahoma State Cowboys football fan.     Dr. Dayna Florance


    Dr. Florance grew up in Odessa, Texas, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science and animal science from Texas A&M in 2006. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 2010. Despite being a native Texan, Dr. Florance chose to remain in Oklahoma, and her passion for preventive care made her a perfect fit to practice veterinary medicine at Banfield. When she is not caring for animals, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. Their family also includes three dogs, three horses and two goats. More Details >>

    Dr. Kelly Frye


    Dr. Frye grew up in Orlando, Florida. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in wildlife conservation from the University of Florida. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 from the University of Florida. She also earned a certificate in shelter medicine. After graduating, she moved to Oklahoma and completed a one-year internship in shelter medicine at Oklahoma State University. Dr. Frye joined the Banfield team in 2017. She enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and two birds. Their family enjoys hiking, kayaking, and traveling. More Details >>
