Dr. Annette Pascal
Veterinarian
Dr. Annette Pascal opened Banfield Pet Hospital of SE Columbus in the fall of 2003. She grew up in Germany and attended veterinary school in Romania, where she graduated in 1989 from Agronomic Institute Petru Groza. Dr. Pascal and her husband moved to Ohio in 1993. After completion of the accreditation program for foreign graduates, she began practicing in Columbus in 1995. She enjoys surgery and is truly passionate about preventive care and nutrition. Outside of work, she enjoys time spent with her husband and three children as well as their three dogs, one cat, flock of Shetland sheep, goats and chickens.

Dr. Niels van Loo
Veterinarian
Dr. Niels van Loo started with Banfield Pet Hospital of SE Columbus in 2007 and after having the opportunity to manage a private veterinary clinic in Kentucky for three years, he returned to our Banfield team in the fall of 2012. Dr. van Loo originally hails from the Netherlands and moved to Canada in 1994. He is a 2006 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Canada. In addition to advocating for the best preventive care for dogs and cats, he especially enjoys soft tissue surgery as well as oral surgery and has an interest in dermatology. An avid equestrian, Dr. van Loo spends much of his spare time riding and training his horse at a local stable. His other interests include reading, cooking, and gardening.

Dr. Carissa Scott
Veterinarian
Dr. Carissa Scott was born and raised in a small farm town outside of Findlay, Ohio. She received her bachelor’s degree in life sciences biology in 2004 from the University of Findlay, and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Dr. Scott worked as a small animal practitioner in a private practice until January of 2013 and then joined the Banfield team in Reynoldsburg. She has a German Shepherd named Mars, a Miniature Poodle named Ryder and two Budgies (birds) named Jupiter and Pluto. She is married and has two children. When Dr. Scott is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and pets, baking, DIY projects, and spending time outdoors.
