Dr. Carissa Hoffman
Veterinarian
Dr. Carissa Hoffman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Youngstown State University and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State Veterinary College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hoffman has been working at Banfield Niskayuna since 2016 and has veterinary interests in small animal and equine medicine, acupuncture and chiropractic. She will be attending the Chi Institute in early 2018 to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. In her
spare time, Dr. Hoffman likes to spend time with her husband and pets, Sammie the boxer, and Toby the DSH. She also enjoys hiking, crafting, reading, gaming,
comic/Marvel/DC, and spontaneous adventures.

Dr. Christina Perogine
Veterinarian
Dr. Christina Perogine is from Rockland County, NY and received her DVM degree from Ross University on the island of St. Kitts. She loves soft tissue surgery and dental cleanings. She also has a love for large exotic animals
having worked at a safari park in Oregon and volunteering in South Africa. In her spare time, Dr. Perogine enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her dog Dachshund, Lexie.

Practice Manager
Genna has been the Practice Manager at our hospital since 2016 but has worked as a CSC and VA with Banfield at the Niskayuna location since 2010. She has three dogs and two cats, that she loves dearly. In her spare time, Genna works with local animal rescues and volunteers with the local SPCA as a humane law officer.

Dwight graduated from SUNY Delhi in 2002 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in veterinary technology. He received his bachelor's degree in biology
from SUNY Oneonta in 2009. Dwight has been working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2002 in private practices and with Banfield since May 2013.

She has 4 cats, Dumpling, Shadow, Zebra, and Nightmare, and a mini satin named Stella. In her spare time, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and playing Nintendo 64.

Veterinary Technician
Rocco has been a LVT since 2009. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business management from SUNY Delhi in 2011. Rocco enjoys working with animals and has a desire to learn more about exotic/pocket pets. He has over 10 years of experience working with dogs and cats, and 3-4 years working with exotic animals, including monkeys. Rocco has 2 cats, a dog, 2 ferrets, and a chinchilla, and says sometime in the future there may be more animals added to his "zoo".

Jen received her A.A.S. degree in veterinary technology from SUNY Delhi in 2012. She transferred to Medaille College in Buffalo, NY where she received her B.S. degree in veterinary technology. In April 2013, Jen was awarded her LVT license. She worked in emergency medicine and general practices around the Rochester and Buffalo areas before moving to Niskayuna, NY. In her free time, Jen loves being outdoors, hanging out with friends, and watching movies. She has 2 dogs, Kodi and Tucker, and 2 bunnies, Rosie and Lola.

Client Service Coordinator
Nance has been a veterinary assistant and client service coordinator for 10 years at the Niskayuna Banfield. She is a valuable part of our team and is always there to help. When not working, Nance takes care of several rescues, volunteers for Schenectady County Public Health Rabies Clinic and the Damien Center Paws program which provides free veterinary care for people living with HIV/AIDS. There she assists the doctors and uses her long time skills as a professional dog and cat groomer. Nance believes pets are family and can't imagine life without them.

Tara is new to the Banfield team and has experience working at an animal emergency clinic. At home, Tara has 2 cats, Jordan and Jada, a horse named Magic, and is getting a puppy later this year named Otis. In her free time, Tara enjoys riding her horse, kayaking, traveling, and trying new foods.
