Dr. Anna Ward
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Anna Ward is originally from Cliffside Park, New Jersey. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication and psychology from Rutgers University in 2009. Prior to attending veterinary school, Dr. Ward worked as a certified veterinary technician in our very hospital for 5 years! She then went on to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona and graduated in 2018 as part of the school’s inaugural class. Her clinical interests include dentistry and soft tissue surgery, and she even sees some exotics! When not in the hospital, she enjoys hiking and traveling the country with her English bulldog, Bacon.

Dr. Sarah Van Mater
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Sarah Van Mater grew up in Columbus, New Jersey. She moved to Miami, Florida to continue her studies, and spent her free time working and volunteering at local animal shelters and low-cost clinics. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine located on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts and her final year of vet school was spent in clinical rotations at Colorado State University. Following school, she moved back to New Jersey where she currently lives with her two cats, Puss and Bootz (Miami natives). She enjoys spending time outdoors and travels as often as possible. She looks forward to sharing her passion for veterinary medicine with you and your pets!

Dr. Henda Trigui
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Henda Trigui is a native North African, born and raised in Tunisia. A graduate of the National Veterinary Medicine School of Tunisia, she has been engaged in the practice of veterinary medicine for more than 7 years. Her interest in animal care and strength in the study of science led her to Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine where she received her veterinary medicine equivalency. She holds her veterinary license in New Jersey and is also USDA accredited. Dr. Trigui currently resides in North Bergen, NJ and is pleased to offer her care and dedication to the people and pets around the area. She enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of not only the animals, but their owners. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. Dr. Trigui is also fluent In French and Arabic!

Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Rajani (Raj) Tyagi received her veterinary degree from India and has been working as a small animal practitioner since 2013. She worked for 4 years at a cat hospital before joining Banfield in 2017. Dr Raj’s professional interests include cardiology, internal medicine, Fear Free care for cats, and soft tissue surgery. She loves working with cats and offering tips for making your feline’s visit to the vet easier. Dr. Raj lives in Bergen County, and enjoys her free time gardening and spending time with her husband, 2 girls and a dog, Mr. Porridge.
