    Dr. Sherina Florant

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Florant was born and raised in Dominica in the Caribbean before moving to the states with her family as a teen. She attended Rutgers University and graduated in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in animal science. After taking 2 years off to work as a Veterinary Assistant for Banfield and VCA, she continued her education at Ross University Veterinary School. Her clinical year was completed at Ross University in Indiana and she graduated in 2017. After moving back to New Jersey, Dr. Florant is now working for Banfield again as an Associate Veterinarian at Banfield East Brunswick. In her free time, she likes to dance, sing, read, and especially enjoys spending time keeping acting outdoors with her 4 dogs, Bonny, Chloe, Tinka, and Lucky. More Details >>

    Dr. Madlin Deaf

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Deaf was born and raised in Egypt and graduated from vet school there in 2010. After graduation, she moved to the United States with her family and continued her education by joining the ECFUG program in 2013. In the meantime, she became certified as a veterinary technician in 2017, and worked as a senior vet tech while studying for her exams to obtain her veterinary license. As of April 2018, Dr. Deaf received her license and joined our East Brunswick team in early July. She currently lives in Staten Island, and enjoys traveling and sight seeing with her family.     Dr. Eman Ibrahim

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Ibrahim graduated from Cairo University in Egypt in 2002 and then graduated through the ECFVG program in February of 2019 in the U.S. She aspired to be a veterinarian at a very young age. She now lives in Cranbury Township with her husband, who is in graphic design, and her 2 young sons, Beshois and Stephen. Her family has expanded their family with Max, a shih tsu/poodle mix puppy. Dr. Ibrahim enjoys spending her free time with her family shopping, traveling, and playing basketball with her kids. When not with her family, she entertains herself with reading scientific books.     Practice Manager

    After working for the corporate industry for 10 years, Danielle joined Banfield in 2010 at the Duluth, Georgia location as a client service coordinator and veterinary assistant, to better pursue her interest in the veterinary field. Then in 2014, she was promoted to shift lead and then practice manager in 2016 at the Norcross, Georgia Banfield. Later, Danielle decided to move to Toms River, NJ to be closer to family and transferred to our East Brunswick location to help build and manage our team. Danielle lives at home with her mother and 2 dogs, Cash and Bolt, and 2 cat, Finnegan and Mastasha. She has a daughter attending Manhattan College who aspires to be a publisher.     Shift Lead

    Alex joined Banfield in 2015 to officially start off her career in the veterinary field. She first joined as a general Veterinary Assistant, and later promoted to Shift Lead in 2016. Alex is enrolled at the Bergen Community College to obtain her Veterinary Technician License. She lives at home with her mother and brother in Edison, along with her 3 dogs, Neron, A.J. and Ginger, and her 2 cats, Whiskers and Luna.     David Couto

    Shift Lead

    David started his career with Banfield in 2013 at the Bridgewater, NJ location as a veterinary assistant. From there, he went onto become a shift lead and has since then worked at both the Rockaway, NJ and Union, NJ locations. He transferred to East Brunswick in 2017. David is currently attending American Public University pursuing his bachelor’s in environmental science with a concentration on fish and wildlife management. In his spare time, he devotes his energy to work with sustainability and wildlife conservation in East Africa. An intern with the nonprofit organization HOW Global, David regularly raises awareness about the plight of wildlife species and the need for people to become more sustainable in their lifestyles.
