    Dr. Karen Plasket


    Dr. Plasket is one of our full-time veterinarians and has been with the practice since 2014. Dr. Plasket graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism. She spent the next 17 years traveling the world as a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines before returning to school for her veterinary degree. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, animal rescue work, horseback riding, and spending time with her family, friends, and numerous pets.     Dr. Timothy McComb


    Dr. McComb graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Since receiving his veterinary degree, he practiced in Florida before settling down in North Carolina. After residing in the Raleigh area for 6 years, he and his family moved to the more scenic rolling hillsides in Mount Airy north of Winston-Salem. He has been with Banfield since February 2016, and enjoys surgery, dentistry and internal medicine. When not at work, Dr. McComb enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, reading, hiking, biking and running. More Details >>

    Dr. Burke earned a bachelor's degree in zoology from North Carolina State University before moving to London, England for vet school. She loved her time at The Royal Veterinary College but after spending five years in the United Kingdom, it was time to get back to North Carolina with her husband in tow.
