Dr. Cole grew up in the Charlotte area. He completed his undergraduate studies at NC State and graduated from NC State Veterinary Program in 1991. He has worked in Pennsylvania and North Carolina since graduation and joined Banfield in 2006, becoming Chief of Staff in 2013. He has special interests in surgery and orthopedics. Dr. Cole lives in Waxhaw with his wife, 2 beautiful daughters and 2 handsome cats, Buddy and Baby.

Dr. Ian Trestman grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received a bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of Georgia and went on to study veterinary medicine at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine. He has three cats, and loves working with kitties just as much as with dogs. Dr. Trestman has special interests in dermatology, cardiology, oncology and feline medicine. New to the area, Dr. Trestman is excited to develop relationships with members of the community, and to help as many pets and pet parents as possible!

Sandy is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and graduated for SUNY Delhi College of Technology in 1997. She has been with Banfield since 2011 and is our practice manager. Sandy is originally from Allegany, New York and moved to North Carolina in 1998. Besides running the hospital, Sandy enjoys working in surgery, dental cleanings and assisting in exam rooms. She lives in Waxhaw with her husband, 2 children, 3 dogs, a cat and 3 horses. When not at the hospital, you can find Sandy trail riding her horses or running her kids to ballet/sports.
