Dr. Powers spent 25 years as a tax accountant on Cape Cod before electing to return to school and pursue her long-held desire to become a Veterinarian. She completed her undergraduate work in bio-medical molecular biology at Bridgewater State University and received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine; fulfilling a clinical year at the Boren Veterinary Hospital of Oklahoma State University and a surgical preceptorship at the Queen Mother Hospital for Small Animals of the Royal Veterinary College. She practiced in Hyannis, Mass. before joining Banfield. She is proudly married to James, a CPA, with whom she shares 4 daughters, 6 grandchildren, a Kittian coconut retriever, a bloodhound, a jack russell, and a red-foot Tortoise.

Eileen studied criminal justice at Southern New Hampshire University and Penn Foster. She has been with Banfield since 2014, and has found her passion in life and career through helping all the wonderful pets and clients at Banfield. She started as a client service coordinator, was promoted to veterinary assistant, and is now our practice manager, ensuring that every client that comes to Statesville leaves feeling like family. At home, Eileen has a 15-year-old long haired Siamese cat who is her other half.
