  • Description
    Our White Oak Banfield Pet Hospital is dedicated to quality veterinary care and are available seven days a week to meet the needs of your schedule. We are a full service veterinary center for small animals offering preventive care, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, radiography and ultrasound imaging. We are also able to provide basic care for small exotics such as guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles, hamsters, rats, gerbils and mice. 

    We are located just off highway 70 in Garner near the intersection of Timber Drive East and Shenstone Boulevard next to BJs. When you walk inside PetSmart, we are adjacent to the Grooming Salon in the back of PetSmart.

    Dr. Rachel Ross


    Dr. Rachel Ross is a native of Las Vegas, NV. She graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama and headed back home to practice at Banfield for a few years before recently pulling up stakes and moving to North Carolina.     Dr. Padmavathi Polu


    Dr. Polu graduated from S.V. Veterinary University, Tirupati, India in 1997 and performed her clinical training at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She moved to Raleigh, where she currently resides, in 2006. Dr. Polu enjoys working with small animals with a special interest in internal medicine.     Dr. Hannah Burns


    Dr. Burns is originally from the beautiful mountains of Maggie Valley, NC, but moved to Raleigh to attend NC State for her undergraduate education in biology and animal science. Upon finishing her undergraduate degree, she was accepted into NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her DVM. Ever since she had a childhood schnauzer named Hushpuppy, Dr. Burns has considered schnauzers her favorite breed. Hushpuppy was her original inspiration for wanting to become a veterinarian. However, she is passionate about all animals—any shape and size. In her free time, Dr. Burns loves spending time with her husband, Kerry, traveling, staying involved with her church community, running and going to local breweries. She is also passionate about children and works as a nanny on the days she is not taking care of 4-legged critters. More Details >>

    Dr. LaToiya Templeton


    Dr. Templeton has been in love with animals for as long as she can remember. She transferred this passion to reality and now has one of the most amazing jobs in the world where she can meet and treat a fair amount of God's creatures on a daily basis! Dr. Templeton is originally from Chicago, Illinois and attended The Ohio State University for her B.S. degree as well as her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She is an avid supporter of diversity initiatives, pet care education, and The OSU Buckeyes! In her downtime, she spends the fall with her family engrossed in college football and giving back to their local church community and respective Greek organizations, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.     Amanda Bacon

    Practice Manager

    Amanda joined the Banfield team in 2006 as a veterinary assistant, and is currently enrolled in Penn Foster to become a registered veterinary technician. She is a North Carolina native and attended UNC Greensboro for biology. She and her husband are located in Johnston County and have two children, a dog named Little Bitty, as well as three cats, Lilly, Daisy and Lyle.
