    Dr. Kristin Moding


    Dr. Kristy Moding is a Colorado native who moved to the Triangle area in 2003 to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She is currently living in Durham with her husband, Everett, and their adorable maltipoo, Pancake. Dr. Moding has a special interest in surgery and ophthalmology cases. She has recently developed an interest in international volunteering trips, providing veterinary care free of charge to pets in developing countries. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding. She competes at jumper shows with her horse, Paddington. Dr. Moding also enjoys part-time practice in equine medicine. She feels so lucky to work with animals and the owners that love them!     Dr. Rachel Germain

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Rachel Germain started her career with Banfield in 2012 after moving to North Carolina from Pennsylvania to be closer to family. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006, and practiced equine medicine for three and a half years before transitioning to small animal practice. When not at work, Dr. Germain enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. There are four furry members of her family: Remington, a Boxer mix whom she considers the "best dog ever", two cats, Ottie and Star, who were rescued when they were just 8 days old, and the newest addition, Conan, a mastiff cross.     Stephanie Brinn

    Practice Manager

    Stephanie has been a Practice Manager at Banfield since 2003. She graduated from Meredith College in 2004 with a B.S. in biology (pre-veterinary concentration), a B.A. in chemistry, and a minor in dance. Stephanie has been married to her husband, Jason, since February 2007 and they have two daughters, Madelyn Grace and Avyelle Hope. Additionally, she has 3 pets: a black Lab mix named Baby Grace, a terrier mix named Oliver, and a beagle named Savannah (Banna for short).     Shift Lead

    April has been working at Banfield since October 2009. She graduated from North Carolina State University in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science. She currently has three pets at home, a mixed breed dog named Leelo and two cats, Suri and Mowglie, all of which she rescued.     Veterinary Assistant

    Michelle has been working at Banfield since April 2014. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster Career School to receive her Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology. She currently has four rescue pets at home; two Labrador Retriever mixes, Riley and Tucker, and two cats, Melvin & Layla. Michelle loves spending her free time doing all things outdoors with her dogs, snuggling with her kitty, Layla, and forcing snuggles on her other kitty, Melvin.     Sarah Ray

    Client Service Coordinator

    Sarah has been working at Banfield since August 2015. She graduated from Peace College in 2009 with a degree in Human Resources, and enjoyed the next few years being a full-time stay at home mother. Sarah was very excited to get back into the workforce in an environment where she could spend the day with animals and their pet parents. She has three rescue dogs at home, one of whom she found on the beach on vacation in Puerto Rico. When Sarah is not at work, she enjoys spending time with family, riding horses and relaxing.     Shift Lead

    Katie started at Banfield in April of 2013 when her lifelong love of animals inspired her to begin a career in veterinary medicine. Katie is currently the Shift Lead of Banfield South Point, and has aspirations to become a Practice Manager in the near future. She grew up in Riverside, California and moved to Oxford, North Carolina in 1997. She has 3 pets (a yorkie-poo named Kaiya, a malti-poo named Duke, and a morkie named Lexi).     Veterinary Assistant

    Beth has been working at Banfield Southpoint since the fall of 2014. She has a biology degree from UNC Chapel Hill and plans to start veterinary school in 2017. She has two young labs and loves their wild energy and spirit. Beth is an avid traveler, has lived in six different states, loves arts and crafts, and impromptu adventures.     Brian attended Appalachian State University from 2005-2008 and has worked at Banfield since 2014. He is currently pursuing an Associate's degree in Applied Science in Radiography at Wake Technical Community College.     Alex Ledbetter

    Veterinary Assistant

    Alex joined the Southpoint team in December 2014. Prior to that, he worked for PetSmart for ten years; five of those in management. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology. He has a joy for helping animals along with educating people in the care of them. In his spare time, Alex loves to read and lift weights, and enjoys the occasional mud run. He currently has 46 gallon aquarium but does hope to have dogs again in the near future. More Details >>

    Veterinary Assistant

    Josh has been a Banfield team member since May of 2015. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was a Loadmaster aboard C-17 cargo aircraft. He earned an associate's degree in aeronautics from the Community College of the Air Force in 2006. Josh is a self-proclaimed live music junkie and will travel great distances in order to partake.     Dr. Stacy Amelio


    Dr. Amelio graduated from NC State Veterinary School in May 2016. She has loved animals of all kinds from a young age. She has a Chihuahua (Addy), a Yorkie (Mini), an Australian Shepherd (Dante), a Border Collie/Lab mix (Slider), along with two cats (Tostito and Fanta), two parrots (Zara and Sadie), two ferrets (Mahem and Shila) and a sulcata tortoise (Picasso). She enjoys competing with her dogs in a variety of canine sports, including obedience, rally, agility, herding, and protection.     Samantha is originally from Pennsylvania where she began her Banfield experience. When not working at Banfield on the weekends, Samantha is a 6th grade social studies teacher. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her fiancé, read books and drink coffee. She has 2 pets, a German Shepard named Zeus and a Jersey wool rabbit named Apollo.
