    Dr. Rebecca Carey


    Dr. Carey spent most of her childhood in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. She attended undergraduate school at Clemson University in South Carolina and veterinary school at the University of Florida. Graduating in 2007, she was the student ambassador of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and helped to run the student driven spay/neuter clinic, Operation Catnip. To this day, surgery is still her passion. Dr. Carey worked for Banfield in the Charlotte market for one and a half years before chartering the Blakeney location in 2008. She is very happy spending time at home with her two children. Her veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery, endocrinology and primary care. Despite loving cats, she recently acquired severe adult onset asthma towards cats and can no longer offer veterinary services to her feline patients. More Details >>

    Dr. Kerri Goodson


    Southern born and raised, Dr. Kerri Goodson graduated from Columbia College in South Carolina in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in biology and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 2006. Dr. Goodson joined the Banfield team in 2007, but became a part of the Blakeney family in 2013, and has a passion for preventive care and internal medicine. Dr. Goodson enjoys spending time with her husband, Jamal, and their three children, Sophia, Zade and Selma. She also enjoys cooking and going to cardio funk class. More Details >>

    Dr. Ashley Hirst-Flinn


    Dr. Ashley Hirst received her bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of Florida in December 2008 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in May 2013. Born and raised in Florida, Dr. Hirst decided to explore other parts of the southeast following graduation and moved to Charlotte, NC with her then finance, Jason, and their two pets. Jet is their rambunctious black lab and Truffles is their mischievous cat. Since her move, Dr. Hirst and Jason married and are enjoying their marriage with trips exploring the great state of North Carolina.     Joy Quang

    Practice Manager

    Joy immigrated to the United States in 1978 with her family. She grew up in Iowa and received her bachelor's degree at Colorado University and her Associate of Science degree in veterinary technology at the Bel Rea Institute in Denver. For the majority of her career, she worked as a veterinary technician at a specialty practice in Ohio and in academia at The Ohio State University. She has a strong interest in small animal internal medicine. In the past few years, Joy has expanded her veterinary career into management and is the practice manager at the Blakeney location. Joy enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and her favorite dog breed is dachshunds. More Details >>
