    Dr. Crystal Sapp

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Sapp earned her bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2005 and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mizzou in 2009. She practiced small animal medicine for 1 year in Phoenix, AZ before deciding to move back to St. Louis to be closer to family. She practiced as an emergency Veterinarian for 2 years then joined Banfield practicing at the Sunset Hills location from May 2012 until March 2016. She became Chief of Staff in November 2012. In her time off, she enjoys competing in triathlons, tennis, and anything sports related. Dr. Sapp and her husband have a son named Henry, 2 Great Danes (Dexter and Studebaker), and 2 cats (Bagel and Lox). More Details >>

    Dr. Caroline Hinrichs


    Dr. Hinrichs grew up in St. Louis, and from a young age was interested in helping animals. After graduating in 2008 from Tulane University in New Orleans, she decided to further her education to become a veterinarian. She joined the Banfield team in 2013 after her graduation from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri. She started at the location in Florissant and moved to the St. Charles location after two years. Dr. Hinrichs studied abroad in France for a year and later ventured to South Africa to provide medical treatment for indigenous animals such as zebra, lions, and buffalo! She takes special interest in nutrition, dentistry, and "pocket pet" exotic care. Dr. Hinrichs has two chinchillas named Misty and Asha, as well as two mixed breed dogs named Sandy and Julia. Her free time is spent traveling, playing tennis, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues, and keeping in touch with old friends! More Details >>

    Dr. Jenny Seggerman


    Dr. Seggerman grew up in St. Louis and knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. During high school, she completed a work study program working with the head veterinarian at the St. Louis Zoo. She attended University of Missouri for her undergraduate studies and received an early acceptance to the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri. During veterinary school, Dr. Seggerman spent two of her four externships at Banfield and found that she preferred preventive care medicine over private practice and emergency medicine. She spent 2 years at the Banfield in Manchester before joining the St. Charles location in 2012. Her professional passions include surgery, preventive medicine, and creating lasting relationships with clients and patients. She enjoys reading, running, camping, and traveling in her free time and has a dog named Emma, two cats, Storm and Callie, a bearded dragon, Frank, and 5 fish.     Dr. Howard Eisele


    Dr. Eisele attended undergraduate school at William Patterson in his home state, New Jersey, followed by his time at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri. He spent his first four years after graduation at Banfield, followed by two years at an emergency clinic. There, he realized he preferred Banfield's focus of preventive care, and returned to Florissant's Banfield. In his free time, Dr. Eisele (aka his self-titled alias, "Dr. Supercool") enjoys going on vacations, horseback riding on his family's horses, Silver and Chief, and skiing down Lake Tahoe's wintery slopes. He also loves spending time with his wife, daughters, Violet and Evie, and his dogs, Lexi and Lizzy. More Details >>

    Dr. Anna Bruening


    Dr. Bruening was born and raised in a rural Northeast Missouri community. She graduated with a B.S. in communication/public relations from Missouri State University in 1998. After working in the communication field for several years, she decided she had a different calling. Through inspiration from her grandpa and motivation fueled from volunteer work with a Springfield animal shelter, she went back to school to become a veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. When not working, Dr. Bruening uses every waking moment raising her three young children, playing with their horses, dogs and multiple cats. She is grateful to God for all His Blessings, and for her amazing and hardworking husband, healthy children and for her parents and in-laws. Dr. Bruening works part time for Banfield and has a special interest in preventive medicine, client education, reducing fear associated with clinic visits for anxious dogs and cats. More Details >>

    Dr. Larissa Hautekeete


    Dr. Hautekeete is a graduate of Iowa State University. She also completed a master's in veterinary biosciences at the University of Illinois and a preventive medicine certificate at Iowa State. She has practiced in Illinois and North Carolina as well as worked in the animal health pharmaceutical industry.
