Dr. Melinda Fleming
Chief of Staff
Dr. Fleming is originally from Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1995. After spending a year at Banfield in 2008, she had the opportunity to return to her home state and work for the USDA in the Food Safety and Inspections Service as a Veterinary Medical Officer. She returned to our Banfield family in July 2017 and loves partnering with owners to give their pets the best possible care! Dr. Fleming also has special interests in dentistry and nutrition, and how those aspects contribute to a pet’s overall health. She has three pets of her own including two dogs, Zoey and Dixie, and Buster, the cat! Dr. Fleming also raises chickens and loves cheering on her granddaughter, who shows pigs back home in Texas.

Dr. Danille Woodrum
Veterinarian
From a high school job as a kennel assistant all the way to obtaining her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree, Dr. Woodrum always knew that she wanted to be in the veterinary field. She graduated in 2000 from the University of Missouri and joined Banfield in 2006 with the drive to further her career. She has worked at various Banfield locations, including O’Fallon, before her rise to Banfield Medical Director of the St. Louis region. During that time, she had an active role in the ongoing development of veterinarians and quality of medicine, but missed being in a hospital setting. Now, we welcome her back to O’Fallon, where she is able to work closely with patients again and focus on her area of special interest, surgery! Dr. Woodrum has two ferrets (Oscar and Ziggy), two cats (Pandora and Chase), and young puppy, Bernadette! She also loves to be outdoors, hike, and read!

Dr. Lauren Zielinski
Veterinarian
Dr. Zielinski began her journey in the veterinary field as a registered veterinary technician. She realized she wanted an even bigger role in the field and attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she completed a clinical year at University of Missouri. She started with Banfield in 2017, spending time at the St. Charles and Florissant locations before joining the O’Fallon team. Dr. Z, as we call her, likes to educate about preventive care and loves how the wellness plans can simplify that care! She is interested in behavior and is excited for every learning opportunity that comes her way! Dr. Zielinski has a mixed breed dog named Toby, from St. Kitts. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues teams with her family!

Kelsey Bennett
Practice Manager
Kelsey graduated from Rockhurst University, where she studied biology and business. She has always contemplated a role in the veterinary field and found herself beginning a career with Banfield in 2013. She started at the Florissant location and transferred to St. Charles following a promotion to Shift Lead. She is excited to be at O'Fallon as Practice Manager! She loves the focus of preventive care to help pets live longer and healthier lives with their family. Additionally, she values Banfield's commitment to personal and professional development. Kelsey loves to spoil her pets, which include a cat and dog. She loves to travel and is on a mission to visit as many countries as she can!

Kate Broeker, RVT
Shift Lead
Kate graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College in 2012 and then taught there to share her knowledge with future technicians! She began her Banfield career in 2015 at the Brentwood location. Kate was promoted to Shift Lead and transferred to O'Fallon in 2017. She chose Banfield because she loves the high quality of medicine practiced and appreciates the opportunity for development. Her interests include surgery and anesthetic procedures. Kate has two dogs, Murphy and Mazie, and a cat named Monkey. Kate and her husband welcomed the newest member of the family in early 2017 and have so much fun watching him learn and grow! Kate also enjoys DIY projects in her spare time.

Shannon Reed, RVT
Veterinary Technician
Shannon has been with Banfield since 2009 and transferred last year to the O'Fallon location from the Chesterfield location. She graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2009 and enjoys learning about nutrition. She is also the hospital's OSHA officer. Shannon has a couple of cats, 2 pugs, and her favorite animal is the manatee.

Camille Longo, RVT
Veterinary Technician
Camille is our team's newest member, beginning in the fall of 2017! She graduated from Sanford Brown in 2012 and obtained her Registered Veterinary Technician license shortly after graduation. Prior to Banfield, she worked as a veterinary technician at St. Louis Animal Control and the St. Louis Humane Society. She loves helping animals stay healthy and is also very interested in dental cleanings and assisting with surgical procedures. Camille has a soft spot for rescuing shelter animals, which is how she ended up with two dogs, Hershey and Charlie! Camille also enjoys spending time with her two children and family, particularly at an amusement park or on vacation at the beach!

Adrienne Koonce
Veterinary Assistant
Adrienne grew up in Litchfield, Illinois. She attended community college to pursue a career in human nursing and found that it wasn't for her. After graduating from Lincoln Land Community College in 2013 with her Associate in Applied Science degree, Adrienne felt that she should give her plan B a shot. She grew up having different kinds of animals and has a huge heart for them, so she came to Missouri to pursue a career in animal medicine. Adrienne graduated in April 2016 from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College and soon after, started at Banfield. She feels that she has made a great choice in her career. Every day, assistants, technicians, and doctors are the voice for pets and provide the care that can help them stay healthy. Adrienne is greatly appreciative that she is a part of this Banfield family.

Rebecca Smith
Veterinary Assistant
Rebecca graduated from John Wood Community College in May 2015 while also working emergency hours at a small town veterinary clinic. It was there where she found her love and passion for veterinary medicine. After moving to St. Louis, she decided to continue working with animals and spent time at a kennel facility nearby. After realizing Banfield's commitment to preventive care, she wanted to return to a hospital setting and joined the O'Fallon team! She is currently in school to become a veterinary technician. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her husband and two dogs, Sasha and Ghost. She also has been studying diligently with support from her cat, Binx, and cockatiel, Hope.

Codie Fickie
Veterinary Assistant
Codie graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College in August of 2018. She knew she wanted to start her career at Banfield knowing how much they care about the pets they see, as well as their associates. Her favorite part of working with pets is the real life application of her technical skills, as well as being especially interested in surgery and behavior. Codie has a full household with 4 young sons and 4 dogs, Bristol, Diesel, Ruger, and Buddy! While not at work, she loves spending time with her husband, her boys (including a new baby) and watching re-runs of the TV show "Friends".

Yari Rivera
Veterinary Assistant
After graduating from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College, Yari joined the Banfield family at our Brentwood location. In February of 2019, she transferred to our O'Fallon location! Yari is bilingual and is able to assist clients whose primary language is Spanish. She enjoys working with kittens in particular, as well as being interested in behavior. When she isn't watching her favorite soccer team, FC Barcelona, Yari, a self proclaimed Star Wars nerd, teaches fencing, loves to read, and also rides horses! Yari has a cat named Korra at home.

Jennifer Tillman
Client Service Coordinator
Though her childhood dream was to become a veterinarian, Jennifer studied business and marketing at Arkansas State University, which led to over a decade of business and customer relations experience. When she found a position with Banfield that would allow her to combine her love of animals and past job experiences, it was an opportunity she couldn't pass up! She enjoys learning new things here, as well as seeing animals each day to help ensure they stay healthy. Jennifer loves to spend time with her 2 children, as well as her recently adopted a pit bull/shepherd mix named Belle. Jennifer also enjoys art and travels every chance she gets!
