Dr. Amanda Brenner
Veterinarian
Dr. Brenner received a bachelor's degree in animal science (2010) and a DVM degree (2014), both from MIZZOU. She joined Banfield in October of 2014 and prior to joining the team at Florissant, she practiced at the Bridgeton, South City, and Glen Carbon Banfield locations. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is teaching pet owners about preventive care. In her free time, Dr. Brenner enjoys cheering for St. Louis sports teams and spending time with her family, including her dog, Buddy.

Dr. Satyanarayana Paturi
Veterinarian
Dr. Satyanarayana Paturi began his career with Banfield starting in October, 2011 and arrived at the Florissant location in May of 2013. Originally from a rural community in India, he grew up around dairy animals, catalyzing an interest in animal medicine. Dr. Paturi attended Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University until his graduation date in 2001. Upon obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, he worked as a large animal veterinarian in India for five years before a transcontinental move to the USA to continue his education. In 2008 he received a Master's degree in Biology at Marshall University and pursued AVMA certification by 2010. Dr. Paturi spends his free time with his wife, new daughter, Siri, and shih-tzu, Mahi. He also loves to travel and wishes to soon visit all 50 states!

Dr. Atef Khalil
Veterinarian
Dr. Khalil graduated from Cairo University in 1990 and began his career working in large animal medicine. He and his wife moved to the United States in 2005 where he worked at Vanderbilt University in the research animal department. Dr. Khalil has 2 daughters, both studying to be doctors, and a son in high school, and he is an avid soccer fan! He has wanted to work for Banfield since moving to the United States as he believes in the way Banfield practices high quality medicine and its commitment to preventive care.

Amanda Pratt
Shift Lead
Amanda is so excited to have recently been promoted to shift lead. She attended the Vet Tech Institute at Hockey College and graduated in 2014. She has 2 cats, Sheamus and Mick Foley, and a Chihuahua named Riley. In her spare time, she loves to go to concerts, attend Cardinals and Blues games, and explore the parks of Missouri with her husband, Justin, and daughter, Lillian. Amanda chose Banfield because she strongly believes in the mission of preventive care, and that the veterinary industry means being a voice for the voiceless.

Chelsea Johnson
Shift Lead
Chelsea was born and raised here in North County, and still lives here. She graduated from McClure North and Hickey College Vet Institute, and was hired at Banfield Florissant during her externship and has loved it ever since. She has 2 dogs, a Bichon named Deano and a Yorkie-Dachshund mix named Zeus. When not at work, she enjoys going to parks and exploring outside, and she's an avid St. Louis Blues fan, USA women's soccer fan, and has a healthy obsession for Forrest Gump. On her days off, you can find Chelsea playing her play station while she works on a lovely face mask. She's excited to make a difference at Banfield!

Adam has been with Banfield for over a year and recently graduated from the Vet Tech College of Vatterott. He has always wanted to work with animals and now gets to live his dream every day. He cannot imagine his life any other way. Adam has a 13-year-old cat as well as a 3-year-old cat, and a day doesn't go by without him talking about them.

Veterinary Assistant
Voaxa went to college at the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College. He has a dog named Mille, a 75 gallon fish tank with about 16 cichlids, a horse named Black Kettle, and chickens! His hobbies include horseback riding, swimming in creeks/rivers, canoeing, kayaking, camping, hiking, and fishing. Voaxa chose Banfield because of the work done with preventive care and how well Banfield treats their employees. This industry is a big step in his future to eventually become a veterinarian and work with the mega fauna of Africa.

Angie has been with Banfield for 2 years and graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Hickey College in 2015. She has a pit bull named Captain Jack and when not working, she enjoys cooking and gardening with her family. Angie chose Banfield because preventive care is so important to her, and the way Banfield practices quality care, and feels she can use all of her learned knowledge and put it to good use!

Michael became a Certified Veterinary Assistant through Animal Behavior College in 2015. I has a lot of passions and loves but what lead her to a career in veterinary care is a realization that she has a heart for helping people. She has wanted to be in this profession her whole life. Michael is married (8 years and counting) with 5 children, as well as a pit bull who's got a peppy, friendly, and silly personality named Bartholamew Thomas. She was very happy to get hired with the Banfield team and is ready to learn, help and educate. Oh and love, don't forget about love! HUG ALL THE ANIMALS!
