Dr. Hovet graduated from the University of Minnesota with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. She has been in private practice since then working on many types of animals, from cats and dogs to horses, goats, sheep and cows. Dr. Hovet joined Banfield in September of 2016. She has been an animal lover since an early age and was lucky enough to grow up in a house full of cats, dogs, birds, small rodents and even the occasional lizard. She enjoys practicing preventive medicine and soft tissue surgeries. In her spare time, she enjoys cross stitching, chasing her 2 small children and cats around the house, hanging out with her husband, visiting her off the track thoroughbred and occasionally trail riding.

Dr. Nielsen received his undergraduate degree in biology at Buena Vista University before completing his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. He and his wife moved and practiced in Las Vegas prior to returning back to the Midwest in 2014. His veterinary interests include small animal surgery, clinical pathology and internal medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his daughter, helping is family on the farm in which he grew up, woodworking, and hiking with his family. He has a Vizsla named Kaiser who despite being 12 is crazy as ever.
