Dr. Michon Ames
Chief of Staff
Dr. Michon Ames graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2014 and has been with Banfield since graduating. She previously worked at the St. Louis Park location but is now loving her clientele and patients here in Edina! In 2016, she was chosen to lead the team as the chief of staff and has since flourished in her new role. Her specific areas of interest include dermatology, dentistry, and behavior. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family, husband, and Australian cattle dog mix, Cooper.

Dr. Amanda Maijer
Veterinarian
Dr. Amanda Maijer graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical year at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to attending vet school, she acquired a Master of Research in behavioral physiology degree, and a Master of Science in evolutionary anthropology degree at the University of Roehampton in London. Being born and raised in Edina, she loves being a member of the Edina practice! Her areas of interest and specialty include surgery and wound care. When not at work, she enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband, Aaron; their border collies, Gillie and Minnow; and cat, Gouda.

Dr. Jessica Carmack
Veterinarian
Dr. Jessica Carmack graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and joined our practice in Edina after graduation. She currently only works a few days a week, but loves seeing her clients and patients who travel far just to see her. She has special interests in exotic pets such as guinea pigs, rats and rabbits, and also enjoys dentistry. Dr. Carmack has an old Holland lop rabbit named Henry. She is very family oriented and enjoys spending time with her husband and family in her free time.

Dr. Daniel Pesek
Veterinarian
Dr. Daniel Pesek graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2010 when he joined Banfield. He previously worked as the Chief of Staff at the Richfield location until joining the Edina team in 2018. His specific interests include dentistry and soft tissue surgery. In his free time, he is kept very busy with his expanding family of two young kids, his wife, and Australian Shepherd, Zeppelin. When time allows, he loves to get outdoors for winter and summer camping, biking, and canoeing on Minnesota's many lakes.

Amanda Pater, CVT
Practice Manager
Amanda has been a Certified Veterinary Technician with Banfield since 2013. She recieved her A.A.S. degree in veterinary technology from Minnesota School of Business and passed the VTNE to become certified in 2013. Amanda has been at the Edina hospital since it's opening in 2013 and was promoted to Practice Manager in 2017. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors camping, hiking and outdoor/landscape photography. Amanda has an adorable cat named Juggernaut.

Kelsey Zent, CVT
Shift Lead/Veterinary Technician
Kelsey has been a CVT since she graduated from Argosy in 2010. She has worked for specialty and referral centers in ICU, but loves her time in general practice because of the connection she makes with clients and their pets. She teaches large animal medicine for veterinary technician students at Dakota County Technical College. She has two cats, one dog, and loves camping and hiking in her spare time.

Veterinary Technician
Beth earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in veterinary technology from the Minnesota School of Business and passed the VTNE to become certified in 2013. She has been with Banfield, Edina since its opening in 2013. Beth also has experience in emergency medicine at a local referral/emergency pet hospital. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching The Office, and spending time with her cats, Mikko, Koko and Gigi.

Emily has been a Certified Veterinary Technician with Banfield since 2016. She received her A.A.S. degree in veterinary technology from Argosy University, and chose this career for her love of animals and a need to make a difference in their life. In her free time, she loves enjoying the outdoors and working on her car! She shares her life with her husband, two dogs, Kiya and Scout, and two cats, Norman and Dani.

Veterinary Technician
Allie received her Associate in Applied Science degree from Minnesota School of Business in September of 2016, and received her CVT certification in December of 2016. She has been with Banfield for 3 years. Allie has 2 dogs, Bee and Bella, and a cat named Kitty. In her free time, she loves watching hockey, and is a huge Minnesota Wild fan. She also enjoys spending time outside with her dogs!
