    Dr. Julie Winters

    Chief of Staff

Dr. Winters has been the chief of staff at our hospital since we opened in 2015. She received her DVM degree from Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and after graduation, she started as an associate veterinarian at the Columbia Banfield. Her passion is preventive care, and believes pets are our family and keeping them healthy by catching diseases early and protecting them against preventable diseases is incredibly important to ensuring we have as much time with them as possible. Other special interests include dentistry and internal medicine. Work life balance is incredibly important to Dr. Winters as she has four children and loves to spend time with them and her husband. Their family is rounded out by their three dogs and three cats. She also enjoys running with her German shepherd, water-skiing, and cooking. More Details >>

    Dr. Elana Rybak

    Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Rybak received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Since graduation, she completed an equine internship, and worked as a research associate at a transplant immunology research laboratory. In 2015, Dr. Rybak began her position as an associate veterinarian at Banfield and when not here, she also moonlights at some of the local horse-racing tracks as a regulatory and Lasix veterinarian. She is interested in pain management and became certified in veterinary medical acupuncture in 2018. At home, Dr. Rybak splits her free time between cooking with her husband, riding her horse, hiking with her dog, and snuggling with her three kitties. More Details >>

    Dr. Martine Moore

Dr. Moore then went on to complete a 1 year rotating small animal internship at Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD. She worked as a general practitioner at a small animal veterinary clinic in Wheaton, MD for almost 11 years and joined our team in February 2019. Dr. Moore’s veterinary interests are ophthalmology, surgery and internal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and daughters, Sophia and Remira, weightlifting and salsa dancing. Sarah Williams

    Practice Manager

Sarah was first introduced to the Banfield family in 2010 by completing a 4 month externship with the practice after finishing veterinary assistant courses at Pima Medical Institute in Colorado. She officially started with Banfield in 2012 as a veterinary assistant in Texas. Her husband was in the military, which had them moving about the country. In February 2014, she spent a year with an emergency veterinary practice as a veterinary assistant before finding out they were moving again. She started back up with Banfield in January 2015 as a veterinary assistant just in time for our grand opening. She was promoted to shift lead in December of that same year and went on to receive another promotion as practice manager in August 2018. She enjoys hiking, taking her dogs on walks, and doing yoga. She has 2 dogs, Turbo and Bella, and 2 cats, Evo and Monster. More Details >>
