Dr. Emily Bowers
Chief of Staff
Dr. Emily Bowers is a Maryland native who grew up in Prince George's County. She received a bachelor's degree in animal sciences from the University of Maryland College Park and then went on to receive her veterinary degree with highest honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. While at Ross University, she completed her clinical rotations at University of Illinois. Dr. Bowers worked for Banfield prior and during veterinary school, and is passionate about the preventive care mission and providing a better life for pets. Dr. Bowers currently lives in Anne Arundel County with her 4 dogs, husband and young son. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses, spending time with her family or just relaxing while watching TV and movies.

Dr. Andrea Leiken
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Andrea Leiken is originally from Portland, Oregon. She attended the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington where she ran track and field and cross country. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology in 2012 and after college, she worked in a microbiology lab for Tillamook Creamery. The best perk of the job was the free cheese and ice cream. She then went on to pursue her veterinary degree from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated with honors in 2018. Dr. Leiken started with Banfield in July 2018 and enjoys the continuity of seeing the same patients and families in general practice. She lives with her husband and golden retriever puppy in Baltimore. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing on a local soccer league, hiking, snowboarding and her newest hobby, rock climbing. Relaxing at home and watching new shows with her husband on Netflix is a favorite as well.

Dr. Elizabeth Cotton
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Elizabeth Cotton graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She first worked at Banfield as a client service coordinator in 2009 then also worked as a veterinary nurse before entering vet school. After attending RUSVM in St Kitts, she finished her clinical rotations at Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She started her veterinary career with Banfield in Colorado in December 2015 and moved back to Maryland in 2018. She currently lives in Annapolis with her dog, Peyton, where they love visiting parks and dog beaches. In her free time, Dr. Cotton enjoys riding horses, going to the gym, traveling and attending happy hours.

Jasmine Jamison-Geist
Practice Manager
Jasmine grew up in Charlotte, NC where her family instantly realized her love for animals. In her younger years, she collected worms to protect them during rain showers and eventually began bringing them home. In 2015, Jasmine began her career at Banfield working as a veterinary assistant. Her belief in preventive care and motivation to lead her team and community led her into a shift lead role. With continued growth and support, Jasmine became our practice manger. When not working, she enjoys time with her two daughters, husband and two giant breed dogs. Jasmine is fear free certified and loves to make each trip to the clinic the best one for every pet. She looks forward to meeting you and your pets!

Lauren
Shift Lead
Lauren started at Banfield in August of 2014. She currently resides in Glen Burnie with her husband and one spoiled cat named Lily. Lauren graduated from Salisbury University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in biology and is currently studying to become a registered nurse. She enjoys taking vacations in the summer to either Disney World or Charleston, SC, and her interests include the beach, movies, bowling and roller coasters.

Shift Lead
Elaina has been with Banfield for 9 years and a shift lead for a little over 2 years. She has 2 pets, Raven and Buddha, and is currently in school for a degree in veterinary technology. When not at work, she enjoys napping, social events and going to the beach. Elaina's goal is to one day become a practice manager and to move to Charleston, South Carolina.
