Dr Kelly Norris
Chief of Staff
Dr. Norris earned a bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of New Hampshire in 2004 and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 2009. She began practicing with Banfield in North Carolina following graduation. After 2 years in North Carolina, she moved home to New England. She spent 9 years at Banfield Woburn, before opening the Stoneham hospital in 2020. Dr. Norris has a special interest in dentistry, although her favorite aspect of the profession is establishing a lifelong relationship with her patients and their families. She lives at home with her husband and 2 beautiful children, as well as her dog, Beau, and cats, Lucifer, Guyton and Fenway. She enjoys spending time with her family and gardening.

Dr Yassine Absar
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr Absar joined Banfield Pet Hospital in 2016 and enjoys working with such a caring and team-oriented staff. After graduating from veterinary school in Kiev, Ukraine he practiced veterinary medicine in Europe and North Africa and USA. He is fluent in French, Russia, English and Arabic.
He is licensed in Colorado and Massachusetts and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.
Outside of work he enjoys traveling, playing soccer and swimming.

Jason is a long-time retail management professional that has always had a passion for animals. Working in kennels from a young age and being a long-time dog owner, Jason developed a respect and an interest for the veterinary profession. Given the opportunity to be a part of Banfield and being able to help our pets live long and healthy lives is an amazing opportunity. Jason has managed multiple Banfield locations successfully in his time with the company. And is very eager to open the first stand-alone hospital in our market.

Mel Agahigian
Surgical Veterinary Assistant
Mel has had an interest in caring for animals since she was very young! She has had many pets growing up and currently lives with her rescue dog, chicken nugget! Due to her passion for animals, she attended UNH and received a degree in animal science. In addition to her degree, she is currently working on getting her CVT license this year. She has been a veterinary nurse since 2013 and has a goal of specializing in surgery one day. She also has a passion for sharks and marine life conservation!

Veterinary Assistant/Surgical in Training
Tori started working with small animals as a pet care associate, then moved on to work in doggy daycares, grooming, and dog walking. Tori spends most of her time with her American bully Dixon, her cat Loki, and her bearded dragon Pip. She hopes to go to school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician and continue a career in helping animals.

Jessica Rabasco
Surgical Veterinary Assistant
Jessica studied psychology at Keene State in New Hampshire. But her passion for animals led her to join Banfield Pet Hospital in 2018 as a Client Service Coordinator and has worked her way up to becoming a veterinary nurse. She has a beloved 11 year old cat named Pretty Mary K. Jessica’s heart goes into every single pet that comes through the door and is committed to each and every one’s quality of care. In her spare time, Jessica feeds and rescues stray cats and injured wildlife in Boston and brings them to loving organizations that help them find their forever home and to start them on their road to recovery. She plans to further her education at Penn Foster this year to become a CVT.

Rebecca Costa
Veterinary Assistant
Rebecca joined our Banfield team two years ago and is a vet assistant and loves it! Rebecca is a fun and energetic person and enjoys making everyone laugh. Her love and passion for animals started at a young age, and knew she always wanted to work with and help animals. She is currently attending the Penn Foster Program to become a certified vet technician! At home Rebecca also has a wonderful son along with her three cats Blue, Belle, and Pete and her dog Jack Sparrow! In her spare time she enjoys being outside in the warm weather and doing makeup!
