We are located across the street from the Highland Square shopping plaza with the Target and Market Basket.     Dr. Stacey Burdick


    Dr. Burdick knew she wanted to be a vet since her family took home their first kitten when she was 5 years old. She received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. Dr. Burdick has a special interest in exotic animal medicine and loves working with pets and their owners. She loves animals of all shapes and sizes; she grew up with an English mastiff and now has a Chihuahua mix. Dr. Burdick is originally from Connecticut and has lived in New York, Kansas, and Florida, but realized she belongs in New England. She currently lives on the North Shore with her dog, Chico, cat, River (both pictured), and Guinea pig, Pearl. She has been working for Banfield since January 2016. More Details >>

    Dr. Sara Gardiner

    Locum Veterinarian

    Dr. Gardiner grew up in MA and completed undergraduate studies in New London, CT and San Diego, CA. She earned her veterinary degree in California and eventually moved back to this area. She has been working for Banfield for 8 years, practicing at the Salem location for 4 years, and enjoys the opportunity to solve problems and help pets be as healthy as possible.     Practice Manager

    Kristen is from and currently resides in the North Shore of Massachusetts and attended Virginia Wesleyan College. She decided the field of veterinary medicine would be a perfect career fit, allowing her to truly love what she does and have a career where her passions lie so she joined Banfield in 2013. Kristen knows it's possible to realize your dreams about pursuing those passions professionally and decided to embark on a new career path after spending 12 years in jewelry management. She understands that being an integral part of a preventive care practice, working with passionate people, and connecting and educating clients makes a difference in the lives of animals.     Veterinary Assistant

    Jon joined Banfield Pet Hospital as a veterinary assistant in February of 2016. He has an Associate in Applied Science degree and completed the animal care specialist program at North Shore Community College. He is currently working on a bachelor’s degree in biology at Salem State University. Jon has a dog named Floyd and a cat named Baby Kitty., and has loved animals as far back as he can remember.     Veterinary Assistant

    Melanie has been with Banfield since 2016. Starting at the front desk as a Client Service Coordinator, her determination for a career in veterinary medicine led her to the more hands on role of Veterinary Assistant. Her goal is to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a Certified Veterinary Technician. Melanie enjoys working with patients of all species but is most fond of the opportunity to work with cats of all ages and temperaments.     Johnny is one of the longest tenured members of this Banfield office. He is originally from Boston and is a reptile fanatic. He currently has a veiled chameleon named Django, who is about 4 years old, and 2 female bearded dragons named Toothless and Luna.     Frances was born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Massachusetts, and is Puerto Rican and Dominican. She has been working for Banfield close to a year and is currently in the pre-vet program at Becker College with hopes to one day become a veterinarian. Frances has 3 mastiffs, Nyla, Mia, and Drogo, and used to have a poodle named princess who recently passed. In her free time, she loves to take pictures and doing make up.
