We are located across the street from the Highland Square shopping plaza with the Target and Market Basket.     The Banfield Pet Hospital® of Salem, MA specializes in dogs and cats, and offers thorough physical exams and lab work ups. We also offer extensive preventive care, surgery and dentistry services for your pets. Our medical team provides care and expertise at a level you would expect for any family member.  

    We offer Optimum Wellness Plan® options for cats, kittens, dogs and puppies to help with the ongoing care for your pet. Drop off appointments are available, which allow you to go to work or run errands while we take care of your pets' medical needs.     Dr. Stacey Burdick

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Burdick knew she wanted to be a vet since her family took home their first kitten when she was 5 years old. She received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. Dr. Burdick has a special interest in exotic animal medicine and loves working with pets and their owners. She loves animals of all shapes and sizes; she grew up with an English mastiff and now has a Chihuahua mix. Dr. Burdick is originally from Connecticut and has lived in New York, Kansas, and Florida, but realized she belongs in New England.     Dr. Dunn has a passion for global public health, and is very interested in zoonotic diseases and immunology. She received her B.A. and M.P.H. degrees from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University in 2017. Relatively new to Massachusetts, Dr. Dunn enjoys exploring the historic sites with her husband and 15-year-old Chihuahua named Skittles. More Details >>

    Kristen is from and currently resides in the North Shore of Massachusetts and attended Virginia Wesleyan College. She decided the field of veterinary medicine would be a perfect career fit, allowing her to truly love what she does and have a career where her passions lie so she joined Banfield in 2013. Kristen knows it's possible to realize your dreams about pursuing those passions professionally and decided to embark on a new career path after spending 12 years in jewelry management. She understands that being an integral part of a preventive care practice, working with passionate people, and connecting and educating clients makes a difference in the lives of animals. He is currently working on a bachelor’s degree in biology at Salem State University. Jon has a dog named Floyd and a cat named Baby Kitty., and has loved animals as far back as he can remember.     Melanie has been with Banfield since 2016. Starting at the front desk as a Client Service Coordinator, her determination for a career in veterinary medicine led her to the more hands on role of Veterinary Assistant. Melanie enjoys working with patients of all species but is most fond of the opportunity to work with cats of all ages and temperaments.     Adrianna has a passionate love for lizards and cats, and greets everyone at her hospital with positivity and smiles. She is from Lynn, but has always dreamed of opening a bodega on the coast of Uganda, as long as she can fill it with local wildlife. Adrianna traces her interest in veterinary care to the first time she saw the movie Gremlins 2: The New Batch, which she watches at least three times a week without fail. She is a dedicated mother, and has the bronze medal in amateur competitive backgammon, east district division 2F. On her days off from work, she volunteers as an advocate for senior citizens helping them surf the internet at her local library.     Tiffany has been energized by the idea of helping and saving animals since she was one and a half years old. Every morning, she gets out of the top of her favorite bunk bed, and thinks about all the amazing things she'll get to do at Banfield that day. In her spare time, Tiff has self-published seven romantic canine mysteries under the pseudonym "Betty Blanker", and has based the main character on her own little fuzzy friend, Corporal Haymitch.     Bekah has never met a dog that she didn't want to squeeze forever. She loves every minute of being the face of her Banfield because of all the new friends she makes, human and pet alike. Bekah is currently learning two new languages, Dutch and Xhosa, a real passion project to go with her wide world view. She is currently in school studying creative writing and English, and is very deep into her student project - a stage musical based on the popular television comedy, The Office. Bekah considers her proudest moment to be when she organized a neighborhood watch and helped expose a cult that was developing in her home town.
