Dr. Setar completed her undergraduate degree at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois before heading to Kansas to receive her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Kansas State University. She is no stranger to Banfield as she was a participant in the student job program for two years. She has a miniature Australian shepherd named Sapphire who she enjoys doing agility training with and would one day like to compete with. She also currently lives with a Shetland sheep dog puppy named Tattoo and a Chihuahua named Diva. Dr. Setar enjoys treating all animals, including pocket pets (especially chinchillas!).

Dr. Kaku was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and just recently moved to Naperville, Illinois. She earned her bachelor's degree at UCLA in 2004, and worked and volunteered at a local animal hospital and animal shelter during her summers at home. Dr. Kaku graduated from St. George's University Veterinary School in Grenada, West Indies and completed her clinical training at North Carolina State University. She enjoys the diversity of general practice but also has a special interest in neurology and internal medicine. During her spare time, she enjoys rollerblading, Muay Thai kickboxing, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her two Chihuahua mixes, Ringo and Kimchee.
