Dr. Megan Taylor
Veterinarian
Dr. Taylor joined Banfield as an associate veterinarian in June of 2012. She was a part of the Student Job Program for 3 years while in veterinary school. Prior to joining the staff at Glen Carbon in October 2014, she worked at both the Manchester, MO and O'Fallon, IL locations. Dr. Taylor grew up in North St. Louis County and attended undergraduate classes at St. Louis Community College and UMSL. She graduated with her DVM from Oklahoma State University in May of 2012. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is educating pet parents in preventative medicine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, her cat "Newton," and participating in activities with her church.

Dr. Leah Sikes
Veterinarian
Dr. Sikes was born and raised in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon area. In 2001 she began working as a veterinary assistant while obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. After graduating Cum Laude and completing some graduate coursework, she then attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2009 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She joined the Banfield team in 2012 and enjoys volunteering with various organizations. She is particularly passionate about providing quality dental care for dogs and cats, and enjoys having the opportunity to work with so many devoted pet owners. Dr. Sikes enjoys kayaking and other outdoor activities, running, and spending time with her family and two beloved cats, Gwendolynn and Penelope.

Dr. Laura Voitik
Veterinarian
Dr. Voitik received her veterinary degree in 2018 from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. She is originally from Urbana, Illinois - home of the University of Illinois - where she got her bachelor's degree in animal sciences in 2013. She has been with Banfield since August 2018, and loves getting to know her clients and their amazing pets. She has a keen interest in internal and preventive medicine. At home, Dr. Voitik has two senior puppies, Aberforth and Sedgewick (pictured), who keep her on her toes despite their age. In her free time, she enjoys exploring her new home (St. Louis) and traveling as much as possible!

Melissa McIntosh
Practice Manager
Melissa grew up in the Glen Carbon area and has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. She has been a manager at Banfield for 12 years and enjoys interacting with her clients and developing her team. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her 2 dogs, Hurricane, a German Shepherd mix and Zena, a Goldendoodle.

Shift Lead
Lisa graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College in 2016 and started working at Banfield after completing her externship. She was promoted to shift lead in 2018, and enjoys dentistry, interacting with clients, and working volunteer events with Banfield. She loves all animals, but has a soft spot for bully breeds. On her days off, Lisa loves to travel and be outdoors.

Veterinary Technician
Amanda graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College in 2014 and has been with Banfield ever since. She enjoys dentistry and being able to educate new pet parents on the importance of preventive care. Amanda is the mom to two wonderful kids and has two Frenchtons. In her free time, she likes to go on motorcycle rides with her husband and listen to live music.

Veterinary Technician
Sydney graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Hickey College in 2015. She worked in emergency medicine for 5 years and just recently found her home with the Banfield team. Her passions include surgery and monitoring. She has 2 Yorkies, a pitbull, and a 1-year-old daughter who keep Sydney and her husband very busy. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling around the country playing volleyball.

Veterinary Technician
Dustin graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College in 2012 with a degree in veterinary technology. He worked in emergency and critical care from the time of graduation until September 2018 when he joined the Banfield family. Dustin's special interests in the veterinary field include anesthesiology and care of exotic/pocket pets. In his spare time, he enjoys filling his schedule by traveling, watching live theatre and film, attending concerts, and caring for the menagerie of pets he has at home including Skylar (a Siberian husky) and Elvira (a Sphynx cat).

Veterinary Technician
Kacie graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College in 2013 and became certified in 2014. She immediately started at Banfield but took two years to work in an emergency unit and a rescue to be able to learn new skills in the field. Kacie came back to Banfield in 2017 where she felt more at home. In her spare time, she enjoys playing video games and going to Comicons.
