Dr. Ryan Cooley
Chief of Staff
Dr. Cooley was born and raised in Central New York, where he developed his passion for caring for animals. He graduated with his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo before receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine. After completing his clinical rotation at University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, he began his work as a practitioner in Illinois. His medical interests include ophthalmology, internal medicine, and stress free management of patients. Outside of work, Dr. Cooley likes to spend his time skiing, cooking, listening to live music, drinking excessive amounts of coffee, and relaxing with his partner and their two cats, Sloth and Tiger.

Dr. Colleen Gratton
Veterinarian
Dr. Gratton is from Peoria and originally had a career in graphic design. She received a bachelor's degree in biology from the Illinois State University. At ISU, she had the opportunity to participate in research projects including House Wren behavior. She then attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2001. She has treated a variety of animals in the last 15 years including wildlife, pet birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, hamsters, reptiles, dogs, and cats. Pets at home have included a variety of pet birds, chinchillas, lizards, a guinea pig, a rabbit, a short-tailed opossum and, of course, her two westies, Annie and Mollie.

Dr. Barbara Shelton
Veterinarian
Dr. Barbara Case Shelton received her undergraduate degree at Illinois State University before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. She spent 27 years practicing small animal medicine in Dallas and Fort Worth before returning to Illinois in 2008. Her special interests include reproductive medicine, internal medicine, and small animal pediatrics. Outside of work, Dr. Shelton spends her time gardening, spending time outside, and raising American Shorthair cats.

Dr. Monica Jarboe
Veterinarian
Dr. Jarboe grew up on a crop farm near Loda, Illinois. Her veterinary aspirations were first kindled by caring for the family dog and cats. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in animal sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree. The first six months following graduation were devoted to mixed-animal practice in Southern Illinois before joining the Banfield team. Her interests include endocrinology, internal medicine, and diagnostic imaging. Outside of work, she enjoys social dancing, hiking, and baking.

Taylor Pulley
Shift Lead
Taylor grew up in the Peoria area and has been at Banfield in East Peoria since March of 2014. She began her career as a Client Service Coordinator but developed a passion for working with animals and quickly began work as a Veterinary Assistant. After becoming a vital part of the team and displaying a knack for leadership, she became our Shift Lead in August 2018. She is very passionate about providing preventive care and providing a fear free environment for pets. She is currently earning her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Methodist. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at home with her daughter, three cats, and bearded dragon.
