     We are conveniently located just off the Interstate, on the west side of Des Moines. We welcome new pet patients and same day access appointments may be available. When you're in, ask our staff about our Optimum Wellness Plans® and how they can help you manage pet health care costs.

    Dr. Marietta

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Marietta joined the Banfield Clive hospital in September of 2018. She has been with Banfield since February of 2008, having been a technician, a Banfield Ambassador in veterinary school, and a veterinarian in several Colorado hospitals before moving to Iowa to be closer to family. Dr. Marietta loves surgery, dentistry, chronic conditions like diabetes and kidney disease, and coaching doctors and veterinary students. In her time off, she enjoys getting outside as much as possible with her husband and her two young children, as well as her furry family members including a yellow lab and a cocker spaniel mix.     Veterinarian

    Dr. Garlock joined the Clive team after graduating from Iowa State University in May of 2016. She has two dogs and two cats that tolerate each other fairly well. She and her husband have been renovating their home and keep busy with lots of projects. Dr. Garlock enjoys refinishing furniture and amateur woodworking. More Details >>

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Nareddy joined Banfield in 2017 after practicing at a small animal practice in central Iowa for 3 years. Before that, she completed a 1 year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at a specialty and emergency hospital in Miami. She earned her veterinary degree in India and then completed a master's degree in veterinary diagnostic medicine from Kansas State. Dr. Nareddy has special interests in preventive medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and chronic condition management. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.     Dr. Groundwater

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Groundwater grew up in southern California, graduated in 2005 with her B.S. degree in animal science from Cal Poly Pomona, and graduated veterinary school from Washington State University in 2010. She has worked in the Midwest in small animal exclusive general practice since graduation, and most recently joined Banfield Pet Hospital in 2016. In her free time, she enjoys jogging, bike riding, and sharing good conversation with friends over meals. She currently shares a home with two parakeets and one winter white dwarf hamster.     Dr. Trepp

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Trepp is a 2016 graduate of Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been with Banfield for 3 years and started her career as a veterinary assistant in Clive, Iowa. She is very passionate about preventive medicine and Banfield's mission to offer the best care. Dr. Trepp has 4 pets at home including a 9-year-old rescue cat named Peanut, a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees named Albus, a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees mix named Belle (pictured) and a 1-year-old rescue cat named Olive. In her free time, Dr. Trepp enjoys reading, outdoor activities and spending time with her husband and daughter. More Details >>

    Practice Manager

    Jennifer joined the Clive Banfield team in September of 2015. She started in the veterinary field in 2004 and has worked in multiple roles from reception to veterinary assistant to manager. She earned her master's degree in business administration in 2013 and is currently working on earning her license as a veterinary technician. She also has a certificate in dog obedience training and loves to talk puppy training! Jennifer believes strongly in the human-animal bond and wants to make sure that both you and your pet have the best experience possible while at Banfield. She has seen her dachshund through back surgery and her cat through urinary issues, and is always willing to listen and support you with your pet. In her time off, Jennifer enjoys spending time relaxing with her pets and reading (non school related books!), watching scary movies, or whipping up a new recipe. More Details >>

    Shift Lead

    Lexy joined Banfield Clive hospital in May 2013. She has worked at a few different veterinary clinics in the area. She went to school at DMACC in Ankeny where she received her AAS degree in veterinary technology. Lexy especially loves working with cats, older patients, very sick patients, and wants to continue learning more about chronic conditions to help assist the doctor and patient as best possible. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband and son. Lexy also has a cat named Diego and a German Shepherd mix named Obi-Wan. More Details >>

    Shift Lead

    Stefani joined Banfield in August 2013 in Washington state where her husband was stationed for the Army. They moved back to Iowa in February 2014 to start a family and Stefani transferred to the Clive team. She has a bachelor's degree in animal science from Iowa State University and has been working in the veterinary industry since 2005. Stefani loves working with larger breed dogs and Persian cats with their smushed noses. She spends a lot of her free time with family and friends at concerts and campgrounds. More Details >>

    Kelly joined the Banfield Clive hospital in June of 2018. She went to the University of Northern Iowa where she received a degree in elementary education. Shortly after, she found her passion was really with helping animals and seeing them get the care they need.     Veterinary Assistant

    Logan joined the Clive team in 2017 after transferring from a Banfield in Arizona. He moved back to his home state because he missed the snow and the Hawkeyes. He enjoys spending time with his dog, William, and feisty cat, Oliver. His favorite part of his job at Banfield is working in surgery monitoring pets and cleaning teeth. In his time outside the clinic, Logan enjoys running, cooking, and reading Harry Potter. His future goals include getting his vet tech license. More Details >>

    Kelly joined Banfield August 2016 in Oregon state, and moved to Iowa in April of 2018 where she transferred to the Clive team. She received her bachelor's degree in animal science from Western Illinois University and has since worked with a wide variety of exotic and farm animals. She has been working with companion animals since 2016. Kelly enjoys traveling with friends and family, and spending her free time with her spoiled pooch, Tilly. More Details >>

    Angie has been with team Clive since 2008. She jokes that she has been here since the age of dinosaurs and will be here through the age of robots.
