    Conveniently located on the south end of the Truman parkway, inside PetSmart, Banfield Pet Hospital of Savannah provides a wide range of services. Our doctors have a particular interest in dentistry that goes just beyond dental cleanings, including dental radiographs, full oral exam and charting, routine and complex extractions, advice and products for at home dental care and much more. 

    Our friendly team looks forward to seeing your pet every day of the week. We welcome new pet patients and same day access appointments may be available.     Dr. Jo Fisher

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Fisher received her veterinary degree from University of Glasgow in 2001. She also has a residency and master’s degree from Iowa State University. She has a particular interest in dentistry, which she pursues every year with additional training. Dr. Fisher loves working with pets and enjoys both surgery and difficult medicine cases.     Dr. Diedre Montgomery

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Montgomery has worked for Banfield Pet Hospital since 2002. She is a transplant from the western side of the United States. She enjoys seeing pets grow with their families and likes helping to keep pets healthy and happy. Her hobbies include photography, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.     Dr. Lynda Kruse

    Associate Veterinarian

    She graduated in 2001 from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s in Molecular Biology and Microbiology and from University of Florida with her doctorate’s degree in 2005. She has attended additional training in dentistry and spay/neuter surgeries. She started my veterinary career in 1992, when she was hired as a kennel assistant at a veterinary hospital in Orlando.     Dr. Bryce Burton

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Burton obtained her veterinary degree from NC State in 2013. In 2015, after completing her residency at Vanderbilt University, she and her dog, Remmi, moved to Savannah. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, yoga, zumba, and listening to books. More Details >>

    Dr. Lindsey Wittmeyer

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Lindsey Wittmeyer graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and joined Banfield shortly after. She recently relocated to the Savannah area from Texas and is excited to be working with the dedicated and skilled team here! Dr. Wittmeyer's current interests include expanding her surgical skills and learning techniques to minimize patient stress and help pets enjoy a more positive experience at the veterinary hospital.     Dr. Betsy von Trapp

    Relief Veterinarian

    Dr. von Trapp is a local Savannah resident who received her B.A. degree in history from Boston College in 2005 and completed her DVM training at UGA in 2011. She completed a small animal rotating internship after finishing veterinary school at Georgia Veterinary Specialist in Atlanta, GA. She has a particular interest in canine rehabilitation and complementary medicine. She enjoys reading, running and spending time with her family when she is not working. More Details >>

    Dr. Jamie Baker

    Locum Veterinarian

    Dr. Baker is a Florida native and first moved to Savannah to attend Armstrong for her undergraduate degree in biology. She then attended RUSVM on the island of St. Kitts where she obtained her veterinary degree and attended LSU for her clinical year. She is happily married, and both she and her husband enjoy playing soccer, boating, and spending time with their 18 animals.     Carole joined Banfield in 2009, starting her experience here as a Client Service Coordinator. With over 13 years experience working in the veterinary industry, she is passionate about associate training and client education. After leaving Banfield for 8 months, Carole relocated and joined the Savannah team along with her husband, 5 dogs and 2 cats.     Veterinary Assistant

    Kristen has three cats, five Chihuahuas, one lab and a guinea pig. She has worked for Banfield for three years. She started as a CSC and now is a veterinary assistant. She enjoy assisting in surgeries, doing dental cleanings and helping animals. She love learning new things about the veterinary field.     Astrid moved to Savannah from California a year ago and graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a bachelor's degree in biology. She has a dog named Shiva, adopted from the Humane Society.     Veterinary Assistant

    Amie joined the Banfield team in October 2015. She has 8 years of veterinary experience in small and large animal practices. She earned both a Veterinary Assistant Certificate and an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Ogeechee Technical College in 2005 and acquired her license in 2006. She will graduate in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in health education and promotion from Georgia Southern University. Amie lives in Pembroke with her son, Connor, and a small zoo that consists of: a Yorkie-Poo (Harry), a Shih-Tzu (Sully), a Weimaraner (Mooney), and 3 cats (Krush Kitty, Heckle and Speckle).     Caitlin was born and raised in Atlanta to a big wonderful family. She has had many pets throughout her life including dogs, cats, bunnies, hermit crabs and hamsters. She joined the Banfield team in 2015 and recently transferred to the Savannah location. Caitlin currently has a dog named Sergeant and a one eye cat named Freya, both of which she has had since they were 5-6 weeks old.     Sarah was born and raised in Maryland. After high school, she joined the Army as an Air Traffic Controller. She moved here from Tennessee and attends Armstrong State University pursuing a bachelor's degree in biology. Sarah worked at an equine boarding facility for 8 years and is passionate about equine sports medicine with hopes to pursue a career in the field in the future. She has a Swedish Vallhund named Lily, a domestic short hair named Luna, and a horse named Chance. In her free time, Sarah enjoys trail riding with her horse, going to the gym, and baking.     Zitty was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she lived until she moved to the U.S. in 2010. She am the youngest of two, and grew up with her mom even though she has the best dad in the world.     Zoe started at Banfield in August 2016 and has loved learning something new and exciting every day, and getting to know all the clients and their pets! The job is never boring to say the least. When not working, you can find Zoe at the gym, doing yoga, hiking, or hanging out with her dog, Sally, who has been with her since she was just 10 weeks old (she is now 14 years old).     Shannon is married with 5 beautiful kids and 2 amazing pets, Kodak and Ice. She spent most of her career in law enforcement and a little over a year ago, decided to go into the animal care field. Shannon grew up in a multi-pet home and volunteered many summers at the animal shelters, and has always had a strong passion and love for animals.
