    Conveniently located on the south end of the Truman parkway, inside PetSmart, Banfield Pet Hospital of Savannah provides a wide range of services. Our doctors have a particular interest in dentistry that goes just beyond dental cleanings, including dental radiographs, full oral exam and charting, routine and complex extractions, advice and products for at home dental care and much more.

    Dr. Jo Fisher

    Chief of Staff

    Dr. Fisher received her veterinary degree from University of Glasgow in 2001. She also has a residency and master’s degree from Iowa State University. She has a particular interest in dentistry, which she pursues every year with additional training. Dr. Fisher loves working with pets and enjoys both surgery and difficult medicine cases.     Dr. Diedre Montgomery

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Montgomery has worked for Banfield Pet Hospital since 2002. She is a transplant from the western side of the United States. She enjoys seeing pets grow with their families and likes helping to keep pets healthy and happy. Her hobbies include photography, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.     Dr. Leah Zigelsky

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Leah Zigelsky joined the Banfield team in October of 2017. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in 2013 and continued her education at St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2017. She completed externships in large and small animal, and emergency medicine clinics. Dr. Zigelsky enjoys hiking with her dog, Zoe, kayaking and reading.     Dr. Bradley Caissie

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Caissie graduated from the University of New Brunswick with honors in biology before receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Prince Edward Island. He practiced emergency medicine and critical care in Atlantic Canada prior to relocating to Savannah to join Banfield Pet Hospital. Dr. Caissie has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and dermatology. He has two dogs, Jazz and Rupert, and two cats, Milo and Bijou. When not working, Dr. Caissie enjoys traveling, fishing, cooking, and the occasional game of cribbage. More Details >>

    Dr. Shanna Ramsey (Knight)

    Locum Veterinarian

    Dr. Knight was born and raised on the south end of Brunswick. She attended the University of Georgia and received a bachelor's degree in biology, followed by her DVM. After vet school, she went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at the University of Tennessee. She then moved to Jacksonville, FL and worked as an emergency veterinarian for several years before returning to Brunswick. Dr. Knight has 2 dogs, Elvis and Tyler, and a soon to be husband, Kyle.     Dr. Erica Dickerson

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Erica Dickerson is originally from Nashville, TN and received her B.S. degree at Tennessee State University. She graduated and received her DVM from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She has two cherished pets, Diamond and Midnight, and three feathered pets, Jax, Sky, and Sunny.     Dr. Holly Richmond

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Richmond is originally from Portland, OR where she started working with horses at a young age. In 1998, she moved to Colorado where she pursued a degree in equine science and then graduated with her doctorate in 2007 from Colorado State University. She has worked in small animal practice in South Florida and North Carolina. In 2013, she moved to Savannah where she partnered with her husband to open and manage Savannah Veterinary Internal Medicine & Intensive Care and in 2018, she joined Banfield. She has interests in population health for humans and animals, and is currently working toward her Masters in Public Health at Georgia Southern University. Dr. Richmond has a 15-year-old toy poodle, Lucy; a peek-a-po, Bo; an 18-year-old cat that has been a “foster” for 18 years, Kitten; and a 17-year-old horse named Fergus. More Details >>

    Jamie Frazier

    Practice Manager

    Jamie has over 12 years experience in veterinary medicine, and has been part of Banfield for over 10 years. She grew up on a purebred cattle ranch and showed livestock in 4-H. This started her passion for animals and combined with her college background in business management and marketing, she sought out her career in veterinary medicine. Jamie started at Banfield as a CSC and quickly transitioned to become a lead VA. She moved to Savannah in 2013 and became Practice Manager at Savannah 0221. After a short time away, Jamie rejoined our team in December 2017. True to her background in the cattle industry, she has 3 Australian cattle dogs, Alyssa, Jasper, and Willow. These 3 very active furry family members are joined in the household by 2 cats, Chess (tuxedo kitty) and Octavia (lynx point ragdoll kitty), both were rescues that needed a loving home.     Shift Lead

    Caitlin was born and raised in Atlanta to a big wonderful family. She has had many pets throughout her life including dogs, cats, bunnies, hermit crabs and hamsters. She joined the Banfield team in 2015 and recently transferred to the Savannah location. Caitlin currently has a dog named Sergeant and a one eye cat named Freya, both of which she has had since they were 5-6 weeks old.     Veterinary Assistant

    Astrid moved to Savannah from California a year ago and graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a bachelor's degree in biology. She has a dog named Shiva, adopted from the Humane Society.     Kristen has three cats, five Chihuahuas, one lab and a guinea pig. She has worked for Banfield for three years. She started as a CSC and now is a veterinary assistant.     Veterinary Assistant

    Amie joined the Banfield team in October 2015. She has 8 years of veterinary experience in small and large animal practices. She earned both a Veterinary Assistant Certificate and an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Ogeechee Technical College in 2005 and acquired her license in 2006. She will graduate in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in health education and promotion from Georgia Southern University. Amie lives in Pembroke with her son, Connor, and a small zoo that consists of: a Yorkie-Poo (Harry), a Shih-Tzu (Sully), a Weimaraner (Mooney), and 3 cats (Krush Kitty, Heckle and Speckle).     Phylicia Steel

    Veterinary Assistant

    Phylicia began her veterinary career in 2010 as a pet care assistant at Banfield Federal Way and soon trained into a position as a veterinary assistant. She continued her career in Florida working as an emergency veterinary assistant. She came back to Banfield Des Moines in 2015 and has stayed with the company but moved to Savannah area in 2017. Phylicia has a bachelor's degree in animal behavior from Florida Institute of Technology, and has a passion for all animals and especially loves training. Phylicia shares her home with two Yorkie mixes, Tucker and Melanie, and two trouble making cats, Molly and Delilah.     Blake Forkner

    Veterinary Assistant

    Blake has been with Banfield since November 2017. She has been in the veterinary industry for just under a year but her love for animals goes back to when she was little. She currently has 2 dogs, Meika, a German shepherd, and Mick, a bully mix. Both are advocates for their breed by participating in several sports including obedience, rally, agility, service and therapy work, and have their canine good citizens titles (CGC). In her spare time, Blake loves to go traveling, hiking and swimming with her dogs.     Veterinary Assistant

    Jessie recently transferred to the Savannah area from a Banfield in Marietta, GA, but is originally from Northwest Indiana. She has been a veterinary assistant since 2012 and has worked for Banfield corporation twice. Jessie has worked as a veterinary assistant in many different settings including private practice, mobile veterinary services, corporate practices, and as an independent contractor. She is passionate about feline clinical practice, internal medicine, exotic animal medicine, and loves nursing sick and injured patients. Jessie is enrolled in Penn Foster College to receive her Associate's in Veterinary Technology. She plans on becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician and is a student member of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA).     Veterinary Assistant

    Stephanie was training to become an EMT when she started volunteering at a local humane society and discovered an entire career path built around medical care for animals. After having her son, she found Banfield and was driven by a mission of providing preventive care for pets. Stephanie is currently studying to be a licensed veterinary technician, as well as pursuing a degree in business management, with a dream of one day becoming a practice manager.     Prior to working for Banfield, Brittany served in the Army for 5 years as a combat medic. She is currently a student at Georgia Southern University studying to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry.     Angie has worked in veterinary medicine since moving to Georgia from Missouri in 2008.     Client Service Coordinator

    Bill is a Client Service Coordinator who works as a liaison between you and our medical staff to ensure the best care for your pets. He studied biochemistry and has a particular interest in translational medicine and new drug studies. Bill is relatively new to veterinary medicine having worked in the field for just over a year but he believes few jobs are as great as one that allows you to pet dogs all day! His pet family includes a boxer/bulldog mix named Daisy and three cats, Lilly, Dahlia, and the newest addition, Mao.
