Dr. Rachael Scariano
Veterinarian
Dr. Scariano grew up in Knoxville, TN where she typically had up to 5-6 large outside dogs at a time on several acres of land along with 3-4 smaller inside dogs. Before she was a veterinarian, she was a registered veterinary technician. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at North Carolina State. She has a special interest in neurology and internal medicine. Dr. Scariano speaks conversational Japanese, loves anime, spends a lot of time at music festivals, was once paid to play world of warcraft, saw each of the 3 Lord of the Rings films in theaters 12 times, and she really loves pugs. She currently has 2 mixed breed dogs, Grizzly and Smush, who love to laze about the house. In her free time, she enjoys photography, video games and traveling.

Babs grew up in Seneca, SC where her family consisted of humans, cats, dogs, and rabbits. She comes by her undying love of animals undoubtedly due to her mother's huge heart that could never say no to any sentient being in need. Her personal goal in life is to be helpful to humans and animals. Life accomplishments include: building a literacy program in Spanish Harlem, connecting humans to their forever furpals as an adoption counselor, counseling humans who were newly diagnosed with cancer, feeding and managing feral cat colonies, teaching English as a second language, and (most recently) managing a dynamic veterinary hospital! Babs is a lover of vinyl, dancing,vegan culture, photography, hiking, swimming, learning, reading, and travel. She lives happily with her husband, 3 cats, 2 rabbits, and dog.

Shift Lead
Kim has been working in animal care for 6 years, and is currently in school to further her knowledge of animal medicine and become a registered veterinary technician. She believes that pets are members of the family and that it's important to treat every pet with the love, care, and respect that she would expect her own to receive. Even on stressful days, patience, kindness, and love are the ways she chooses to live her life. Kim's family consists of her wonderful fiancé, Dustin, a 13-year-old cat named Ickis, and 3 fish, Rick, Morty, and Morty (yes, 2 Morties). Outside of work, she enjoys watching scary movies, going to dinner parties with friends, camping/hiking, and listening to local live music.
