    Dr. Keshava Eega

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Eega grew up in India and moved to the United States in 2004. After completing the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam, he attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine for his clinical rotations. After finishing his clinical rotations from LSU, he obtained his Florida state license to practice veterinary medicine. Dr. Eega has been with Banfield for more than 10 years and as an associate veterinarian, he has gained experience with soft tissue surgeries while continuing to practice high-quality veterinary medicine. His professional interests include wellness exams, preventive care, senior pet care, and nutrition counseling for both dogs and cats, with particular interests in endocrine cases, skin cases, nutrition, and behavior. In his free time, Dr. Eega enjoys spending time with his family, and outdoor activities such as gardening and playing tennis. More Details >>

    Dr. Chandra Sekhar Murthala

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Murthala graduated from the College of Veterinary Science in Hyderabad, India and completed a master's in animal science from Colorado State University, Fort Collins. He worked on developing fluorescent ELISA for detecting central nervous tissue contamination in meat and published articles in peer reviewed journals (International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, Journal of food Protection). He worked in Seattle until 2011 and moved to Tampa the same year. Dr. Murthala started working at Banfield in 2013 and prior to Banfield, he worked at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay as a spay/neuter surgeon and wellness veterinarian. He also worked at an animal emergency and urgent care. Dr. Murthala is a cat person but loves "smooshy " faces (bull dogs, Persian cats) and pocket pit bulls. More Details >>

    Dr. Matthew Kren

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Kren started veterinary school at St. George’s University in beautiful Grenada, West Indies but transferred to Oklahoma State University where he graduated. After graduation in 2012, he spent 3 years in the United States Air Force as a Public Health Officer. During his time in the Air Force, Dr. Kren also worked as a relief veterinarian at a high volume animal shelter in San Antonio, TX. After separating from the military, he and his family wanted to move back east but never be cold again, so they moved to Tampa in 2015. Dr. Kren started at Banfield in 2015 and enjoys preventive care, educating clients, and helping overweight pets get back to a healthy weight. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his amazing wife, 2 young kids, 2 dogs, and an invisible hamster, as well as woodworking, gardening, grilling, and running. More Details >>

    Veronica has been with Banfield since November 2010 and has called Wesley Chapel her second home for the past seven years. She started with Banfield as a Client Service Coordinator and worked her way up to become Practice Manager. Veronica has a passion for quality medicine and client satisfaction. While leading her amazing Wesley Chapel team, Veronica loves interacting with owners and their pets. She has many dreams and ambitions but one of them is helping pets in need by leading care forward.     Monica has an associate's degree in science and has been with Banfield since September 2016. She moved from Puerto Rico in 2011 and has been a Tampa native since. When Monica is not working in the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her cat, Shadow, and doing outdoor activities like horseback riding with her friends.     Katie has been with Banfield since May 2014 starting as a pet care assistant and has continued to work her way up. She is currently enrolled with Penn Foster to become a CVT. Katie shares her home with her husband, dog named Riggs, and 2 cats, Nessy and Leela. In her spare time, Katie enjoys traveling, DIY home projects and taking trips to Disney. Her favorite part about working with Banfield is the learning opportunities, and creating relationships with both clients and patients.     Gabe has been with Banfield since 2011. He is originally from Venezuela and a New Jersey native who moved to Florida in 2006. He is an avid Boston Celtics fan, enjoys playing basketball with his friends, song writing and music. Gabe's favorite part about being at Banfield is patient care and creating lasting relationships with the clients and their pets.     Veterinary Assistant

    Jessica moved with her family from Massachusetts in 2001 and has been with Banfield since September 2011. She has a cat at home named MacMac, who is her pride and joy, and she brings that same love to all the patients she helps care for in the hospital. Jessica enjoys educating clients and interacting with all of the patients. Her favorite part of being a veterinary assistant is always having an opportunity to learn.     Lenore has been part of the Banfield family since April 2014, and has a MD and MHSA in hospital management/health services. She has a passion for helping pets and educating people on how to properly care for them, as well as being an assistant to the doctors during surgical procedures.     Jordan has been with Banfield since April 2016. His favorite part about working at Banfield is seeing the happiness he can bring to owners and their pets when he's able to help provide quality care.
