    Dr. Ashley Shaw

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Shaw has been working for Banfield since 2002, starting out as a veterinary nurse until she attended veterinary school. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Her veterinary interests include exotics, dentistry, ophthalmology, and dermatology. She currently lives in Clearwater, Florida with her cats - Delaney, Madison, Delilah, and Elsa; dog, Holley; bearded dragon, Rocky; and squirrel, Brinley. She loves working with pets and their families. Dr. Shaw is a volunteer for the Humane Society of Pinellas and enjoys fostering kittens. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, going to Busch Gardens and Disney, and spending time with her family and friends. More Details >>


    Veterinary Assistant

    Jessica has dreamed of working with animals ever since she was a child. She was accepted into SPC Veterinary Technician program in the Fall of 2015 and is well on her way to earning her certification. She began working professionally in the veterinary field in 2014 and joined Banfield in February of 2018. Combining her CVTEA and AVMA accredited college education with Banfield’s training, her childhood dream has become her reality. Jessica treats every patient that comes through our doors like how she’d wish for her own pets to be treated. She also enjoys sculpting, drawing, reading, writing, paleontology, anthropology, and archeology. Jessica has 5 pets including a dog, a cat, 2 leopard geckos, and an African fat-tailed gecko.     Veterinary Assistant

    Elda moved down to join our team from another Banfield up in Plainville, Connecticut. She has been a part of the Banfield family for over 2 years, and is currently enrolled in school to become a certified veterinary technician. Elda enjoys strengthening the human animal bond between owners and their beloved pets, and is inspired by her 2 loving cats, Joyce and Tsuki. Elda's recent move to Florida has allowed her to do the things she loves to do like kayaking. She's excited to be a part of a new family here in our new hospital. More Details >>

    Samantha is the first smiling face that greets you and your pet during your vet visit. She has been working with Banfield for over 2 years, and has 3 furry family members at home including cats, Snicklefritz the Persian and Rory the domestic short hair.
