Dr. Gary Steinberg
Chief of Staff
Dr. Steinberg grew up mostly in the Poconos in Pennsylvania after being born in New Jersey. His wife is from Farmington so they ended up coming to Connecticut after their schooling was finished. He attended Lafayette College for undergraduate school and the University of Illinois for veterinary school. Dr. Steinberg loves to spend time with his wife, Kristin, and son, Bryce, as well as his dog, Misty (a corgi mix). When not spending time with his family, he loves to play ice hockey, attend live sporting events, watch sports, read, and play sports video games.

Veterinarian
Dr. Brown attended Iowa State University for her doctorate in veterinary medicine and University of Iowa for a master's in public health. While in Iowa, she met her husband who is originally from Massachusetts. Dr. Brown enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and pets.

Heather Slane
Practice Manager
Heather has been with Banfield since 2011, and was a client service coordinator and veterinary assistant before being promoted to practice manager in 2014. She attended Central Connecticut State University majoring in graphic design but shortly after graduating, decided to make a career change to follow her childhood dreams of working with animals. In 2010, she received her veterinary assistant certification from Asnuntuck Community College. She loves being able to work with pets every day, as well as helping pets and clients have a positive experience. At home, Heather and her husband have a rottweiler named Dutchess (who thinks she's a lap dog), and two cats, Binx and Nugs. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading books, outdoor activities like kayaking and fishing, and spending time at home relaxing with her family.
