Dr. Barry Bjornsen
Veterinarian
Dr. Bjornsen is one of those rare Denver natives and currently resides in Parker. He went to undergraduate and veterinary school at CSU. He owned and operated a private practice in the metro area for over 30 years. His clinical interests are in surgery and advanced diagnostics. Dr. Bjornsen is a past member of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society, American Veterinary Dental Society and is stem cell certified for orthopedics. He has been married to his wife Holly since college. They have two children and four grandchildren. Two dogs are at home, Mortimer a Cockapoo and Bronte a Wheaton Terrier, down from a high of 23 animals (cats, horses, rabbits, ducks, geese, and others). His hobbies include enjoying the mountains by hiking, ATV or 4--‐wheeling, biking, woodworking and he is an enthusiast photographer.

Dr. Leonard Laraio
Veterinarian
Dr. Laraio graduated from the University of Florida in 2003. He moved to Denver in 2004 and has been working for Banfield since 2006.

Dr. Michael Brodt
Veterinarian
Dr. Brodt is originally from Long Island, New York. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2005 with a science business major. His love for travel and animals took him to St. George University in Grenada for his DVM. After completing veterinary school, Dr. Brodt moved with his wife, who is a Colorado native, to Denver in 2011. He worked in private practice with small animals for the next four years until he moved his wife and 2 boys 8,000 miles away to Koror, Palau to become the country's only veterinarian. In Palau, Dr. Brodt worked on a multitude of domestic and wild patients, but still made time to scuba dive, travel around Asia and spend time with his family on the beach.

Dr. Ley graduated in 2010 from CSU, is a Colorado native and a proud dad of 2 girls. His veterinary interests are in small mammals, avians and exotics, as well as dentistry.

Laura Dallegge, CVT
Shift Lead/Veterinary Technician
Laura is originally from the Northeast but has spent the last 4 years in Texas. She graduated from Cedar Valley College in Texas with a degree in veterinary technology in 2016. This past year she decided to relocate to Colorado be closer to her family. She loves being able to come to work everyday and do something she is passionate about. When she isn't working, Laura enjoys going back to the Northeast to see her family, spending time with friends, and going for walks with her 2 dogs, Thor and Country.

Ashley Howell, CVT
Veterinary Technician
Ashley is a recent graduate from the Pima Medical Institute and obtained her certification as a CVT in November 2017. While attending school, she started working at Banfield to gain more hands on experience and has been with the hospital since 2015. Ashley is currently 1 of 4 surgery technicians and the hospital's safety officer. When she's not taking care of pets at work, she spends most of her time with her 2 pups, Teddy and Moose, at home. Ashley is passionate about providing the best possible care for all her patients and building lasting relationships with her clients.

Debbi graduated from Pima Medical Institute and is one of two of our Certified Veterinary Technicians. When not working, she enjoys spending her days with Denver, her beloved rescue, and riding her Harley.
